Noon today a car accident occured at the intersection West 3rd St/ Sullivan St. Because of speeding a van driver lost control and crashed sideways against a tree, lamp post and a traffic light. The driver suffered minor injuries and was trapped in his van because of the heavy deformation after the impact. FDNY, EMS and NYPD rushed to the scene. The fire crews used jaws of life to rescue him. After that the EMS brought him to the Hospital. Due to the rescue work the intersection was closed for about two hours. This is my first accident scene. I hope you like it. Comments and suggestions welcome :) You can see the used rigs in my FDNY folder if you want.
Really cool. You must have a whole city setup or something because all the surroundings look pretty similar on a few of you models. Great job anyway. That smashed up van is fantastic, and the fire engines... WOW!
Thank you so much for your nice comment Emil. I'm glad that you like it. But many things changed, and i think you wont recognize the crash location when you take a look at my latest town update ;) Cool that you'll do the stretcher. Can't wait to see it. Good luck :)
Nice to see the little guys at work :) I love your fire trucks of course, and the smashed vehicle. And I like to see your guys use a spine board :) you don't see too many of those. And I think you made a rgeat one. I have been trying to make one too, I am just never happy with that kind of stuff, I always want it to be smaller and smaller, and end up modifying my bricks:) by the way I am coming up with something about that stretcher of yours, hope to have it ready soon:)

In the very last picture I saw a guy in white clothes and black pants holding a radio. Is he a battalion chief or a police officer? I didn't see a battalion chief S.U.V. at the intersection anywhere.
Hey Jonah, he is a Battalion Chief. You are right, there is no SUV visible because i had not enough space to place it at the scene. So it is parked behind the Trump World Tower. Have a look at it, there is a lane behind the building.
