That is excellent!! I really like how you build "small" but the essential is always there. It's what I'm trying to do but!... You make it cool, funny, playable, with SNOT technics. Respect.

Thanks Nils. I'm just getting my head around these SNOT techniques, they weren't around when I was a kid. The MOCpages provide plenty of inspiration though.

If the Windscreen you are favoring is the one that want, you want Part# 4474 and it is available in more colors than we ever imagined as kids. I think a great alternative to the one you are using would be Part# 2507. You can find them both on the popular Bricklink website. You're in the U.K.? I'll bet there are quite a few people there already who have what you are looking for. They are both classified as a "WindScreen" and now you have their part numbers. Oh, the color on the classic you have is labelled as Trans-Dark-Blue. Chin up, they exist, are available and you can do it.

Thanks for the comments Mashall. I'm afraid my box of lego is very small, so a fleet at the moment seems unlikely. I am however working on another small spaceship, which uses a lot of SNOT. As you can tell form the MOCs on here, I have a few pieces that recur, one of them is the blue classic space canopy piece; I'm trying to find an alternative to this - I've come up with something quite neat which I'm looking forward to posting in the next few days. Sometimes limited pieces really push you onwards to the most innovative solutions.

Brilliant! Do you have enough Lego elements to make duplicates for a small squadron? If not, check the part numbers on Bricklink to see if someone nearby has what you need. I'd love to see more variations of your fighters. Then I'd love to see multiple factions of fighters. Yep ,that would be great. So glad yer Mum kept your Legos and your wife found them.
