ZR-99 Aegis
The harbinger of a new generation of mech warfare.
About this creation
The Aegis mech marks ZR Insutries return to producing Titan-class mecha on a large scale. The ZR-99 uses the latest in technology combined with state-of-the-art phase cannons to create the quintesessential fighting machine.

It was obvious that since the Great Mech War that lasted years after the conclusion of WWIII, that completely autonmous robots would only be our undoing. The Aegis, along with the ZR-77 Primus, are the symbols of both a new style of mech chassis and a return to the human-controlled roots of their original forerunner, the ZR-1A Titan.

Mech-tacular! Brilliant shaping on this, really conveys a look of power and strength. The upper body is especially effective, but it's all good!

A masterpiece. The colors and the upper body are my favorite parts. But I feel it could feature a few more weapons considering it height and bulkness. Not that the cannons in the shoulders couldn't do the job but it'd be nice to see a big rifle or a gattling, some rockets, granades...

Quoting Mike Johnson A very solid looking design overall. The color scheme also works quite nicely. I guessing though he's not the most flexible bot based on the leg design though. If you haven't already checked out his designs, look at Mithryl Dlarix's page. He's helped me with some issues on my mechs and you might see something you like as well.
It has a few degrees of movement in the joints, but for the most part, you're correct, not extremely flexible. Thanks for the comment!

The models got a retro look, with its smooth simple body plates and minimal weapons and the colour is cool. I'd buy this mech no problem. Good work.

Quoting Nathanael Kuipers Wow, this looks spectacular. This would be a perfect update from the Titan XP 4508, that was on the market several years back. If LEGO commercialised something like this I would buy it in a heartbeat. Fantastic!
Thanks! I had forgotten about that set (wasn't luck enough to get one new) but I agree. Thanks for the comments.

This is a very awesome looking mech. The shaping is very good along with the color scheme! The head design is cool, but I think the cannons are a bit too small compared to the whole of the mech, however they are still well built! Nice job!

Quoting andros tempest love the nice smooth lines and consistent colour distribution. Not sure I'm struck on the lower leg, I think it may be slightly too long, but overall the effect is amazing.
Thanks for the comment Andros! I agree, the shin guards are a little tall, but I was really set on using those orange pieces there, so it just sort of happened that he turned out pretty tall.

Quoting Mr. Scotty 1701 I think this this the best one you've done yet in your series! Yeah, it still has that Gen-1 Transformers vibe to it, but in a really good way! A cool rifle might be a good addition to the impressive shoulder cannons, other than that, can't see anything I'd add or take away.
Thanks, Mr Scotty! Yeah, I was also thinking about adding a rifle, but unfortunatly, I didn't think about it until after I posted pics. Look forward to an update!

Fantastic work. This is one of the best-formed mechs I've seen to date. I love the colors you chose and the face is amazing. Great job.

That is a tough looking mech. Very solid. The blasters over it's shoulders are cool.
