If you see a ripple pass by you, probably the next thing you'll see is a mass-driver round coming through the front of your Mech to hit you.
About this creation
While ordinary Mechs engage their enemies out in the open, IWE's new Kyberdart Stealth Mech uses cloak-and-dagger tactics to eliminate enemies in a more... efficient fashion. despite its smaller size, the Kyberdart is held in the same class as Mech Battle Suits. its sleek and lightweight frame, as well as its unusual digitigrade leg design, allow it to traverse long distances much faster than MBS's without the use of jets. top-of-the-line stealth and sniping equipment means the Kyberdart can hit its targets, but its targets can't.

--Specifications--
-Model: Kyberdart Prototype Stealth Mech Mk.I
-Class: Mechanized Battle Suits (MBS)
-Role(s): Stealth operations, Sniper, Scout
-Tonnage: 58.5
-Height: 11.5 meters (excluding weapon hardmounts)
-Power Source: MN-5100 EM Power Core Mark. 18
-Max Speed: 75 MPH
-Armament: dual HL-120 Repeater Rifles, KH-109 Aviator Sniper Cannon, c14 Sensor Jammer (part of 1-VC Sensor Unit)

While the Kyberdart does best when it's a long distance from its opponent, there are plenty of times when the Kyberdart won't be in such an ideal position. as such, the Kyberdart carries two HL-120 Repeater Rifles. compact and with a high rate of fire, but still packing enough punch to deal some damage to larger targets. the HL-120 Repeater fires high-density ferrous slugs, which, though not very effective against the thick armor on targets like Mech Battle Suits, it is strong enough to hit joints and other weakpoints. it also has a fast enough rate of fire to eliminate smaller targets.

the Kyberdart's main weapon, the KH-109 Aviator Sniper Cannon, utilizes both magnetic mass-driver-style magnetic rails and Gauss coils to fire an 85mm piercer round at a velocity of three kilometers per second. though not as effective as some sniper cannons, the Aviator is still a revolutionary design, with a range of eight miles and capable of penetrating through three feet of durasteel in a single shot.

shown here is IWE's prototype stealth plating. the plating, when active, emits a field of energy that energizes light particles to such a degree that they can temporarily pass through solid objects. the design is far from perfected, but it's still quite effective.

the Kyberdart also carries a powerful long-range sensor jammer used to deprive enemy Mechs of long-distance radar systems and other sonic-based sensors. unfortunately it has two flaws. first of all, it's double-blind, as the Kyberdart's own sensors are rendered useless. second, enemy Mechs whose sensors are being will immediately know that a Kyberdart is nearby. even still, there are many instances in which the jammer is extremely useful.

here's a list of the Kyberdart's different weapon mounts. the Kyberdart's standard configuration is to have a repeater rifle in each hand, the Aviator sniper cannon on the right back mount (the Kyberdart's right, not yours), and the sensor/jammer unit on the left back mount. the Kyberdart also has mounts on the sides of its shoulders (can take an Omnihub configuration but is better suited for carrying additional armor or equipment) and on its wrists (good for sidearms and melee blades).

we used some unusual materials in this unit. instead of the standard high-density durasteel plating we typically use on our Mechs, we went for a duralloy/plastoid composite mix which is significantly lighter and also fairly durable. what's more, the plastoid composite, as well as the sleek, rounded form, deflects non-explosive projectiles with ease. we also derived from our usual transparisteel cockpit to one that relies solely on sensor input for the pilot's sight.

CREATOR'S NOTES: here's yet another fun build. I managed to iron out some of the Buccaneer's different design flaws with this new design.

unfortunately it wasn't until I had finished that I found out how very similar it was to Chunk's Demigog. for that reason, and also because I took a few details from the Challenger when making the Kyberdart's weapons (the sniper cannon and sensor/jammer unit), a big bundle of credit goes to Chunkblaster.

also, I'm experimenting with some different color schemes for my Project: Prometheus series. I was originally going to stick with the same earth blue I used on the Stone Golem, but I found that, unlike other "earth" colors (earth green and new dark red, for example), earth blue doesn't look very good with white. I tried metallic black (which I kinda think looks more like a really dark blue) and it looks quite nice. I also tested metallic black on the Stone Golem, and it looked better than the earth blue. so I'm considering swapping from earth blue to metallic black. please tell me what you think.

by the way, before you call me a weirdo for classing this thing as an "MBS", I'd like to point out that, even without the mounts for the sniper cannon and sensor/jammer unit, the Kyberdart still comes up to a standard MBS's neck. ...just to put things into perspective.

anyway, enjoy, and Play Well!

Quoting Forte Noir Just an FYI; if photons carry enough energy to penetrate an object rather than merely reflecting off of its surface, this special armor of yours is turning the sun into a charged particle shotgun. The last thing you want is charged particles turning your steel plating into Swiss cheese at a microscopic level.
hmm, you have a point there... :/

Quoting Shadowa Heartfelt I like the design and features. (i still get the sense a bunch of modified variations off of my Space Pilot Block design or even Rai Schrado's Armored Pilot Block design were incorporated into both this and the Demigog's cockpit..but..oh well)
really? huh, I'll look into it. it would make sense, if Chunkblaster used your Space Pirate Block. hmm, maybe I should've stuck with the Demigog's cockpit design...

Quoting Eragon3443 . Look who's here! Hey Arik, I know you from the LMBs, though you may not know me.
hi there! no, I don't exactly know you too well, though I've seen you around quite a few times. glad to see I'm not the only one LMBs on MOCpages.

Purdy Nifty! It reminds me of an AEGAKS wut without the Ejectable Cocpit. Thats probably the only thing that keeps it from being an MBS and an AEGAKS Simultaneously. Hey, Now that this thing is out, that means the Katana is in progress as we speak, and then (Drumroll Please) Its MY turn! I get the feeling I'll be speechless for days straight. EDIT: Change the colorscheme all you wan't, Once I get the Werewolf, I'll probably Change it to suit my personal style.

Great mech, once again! But you're right, it does look like the Demigog (but you said you based the Buccaneer off it, so that's to be expected). I agree about the metallic black, too. At first I though it actually was blue.
