Rescue Engine 9 is a 2008 Seagrave Marauder II. She has a 1250 GPM Hale pump, Rescue Engine body, 750 gal. tank, Hurst extrication tools, ALS equipment, and standard Engine Co. equipment. RE-9 runs from the 56 Union St. firehouse.
The Union St. Hose Co. was founded in 1908, and was an independent fire company until the mid 20th century. The USHC was incorporated into the City of White Ridge Fire, Rescue, and EMS Department under the circumstances that they could keep their signature white and blue color scheme. To this day, the Union St. Hose Co. runs with white and blue apparatus. This Seagrave Marauder II Rescue Engine replaced a 1989 Seagrave pumper.
The Union St. Hose Co. has been a secret project of mine for a little bit. The Engine was actually built in a day! Luckily, boredom and the correct in-stock parts made it happen! It was also spurred on by Matthew Miller's Engine 372 . Basically, the USHC came to be because it sounded pretty cool. I'll be building one more truck for the USHC. I need to get two raised-roof style window frames and glass, and when I get them I'll add them. I'll also re-decal the "Rescue Engine 9" lettering, I made a cut too close on the right-side decals. Until then, enjoy!
