Holding the Line: A Battle of the Bulge Diorama
I got the idea for this build after watching the episode "Bastogne" on Band of Brothers. Hope you like it.
About this creation
Definitely my biggest creation

The front line foxhole

The foxholes came out pretty well

This hole has a BAR gunner and M1 Garand(musket) rifleman

The mortar squad's foxhole, reinforced with wooden planks

Look's like he's cooking some K-rations

If you look closely you can see an ammo box, most likely empty

Bombarded with artillery and low on ammo, mortars were rarely still operational

30. Cal machinegun post in the background

The colonel checking up on the troops, with ice melting in pot on the edge of the hole

The medic resting after a long day, reminds me of Eugene Roe

This build was inspired by this painting: http://www.valorstudios.com/Bastogne-1944.htm

Between artillery barrages, troops worked feverishly to dig their holes deeper

Watching the line
