The Reich's newest space hippy-klling machine.
About this creation
It was a rainy eve in February. I sat amongst the multitude of Lego bricks scattered across the floor, struggling to complete the creation that sat before me. I clicked the last brick into place and held this new gunship up into the air triumphantly.
Behold! It was another Iron Reich creation!
Yeah, that story is complete BS. I can't even remember when I built this. But it was a while ago. Enjoy.

Yet another cover shot. Bam, that's nice.

As you can see, this creation has a lot of SNOT. Hooray for SNOT!

Here's a random factoid: Both this creation and my Enforcer Mech (sans a few parts) existed at the same time. The Enforcer was torn apart in order to make a bridge and something else. Yes, a bridge. But more on that later...

Rotating engines! A neat feature of the Eagle is that it is VTOL, allowing it to take of and land almost anywhere, hover in mid-air, and fly at slow speeds (effective for strafing runs).
Heh, hovering in mid-air sounds like floating in mid-air. Go Yaffa!

   The rear boosters also rotate.

The base shot that was used for the cover shot. I must say, it looks really nice from above.

The Eagle sports two machine guns in the nose. Perfect for mowing down infantry. And space hippies.

Inspiration for this comes from the gunship and transport aircraft in Battlefield 2142. Note that those aircraft and the Eagle both use landing skids.

The pilot is nice and snug in the cockpit. When he gets shot down, he'll still be nice and snug.

A nice view of this sexy beast's underbelly. Note the landing skids and rocket launchers.

The two rocket launchers that serve as the Eagle's secondary weapons. The Ministry of Truth was pleased to discover that these launchers could also fire canisters filled with propoganda messages. Minitrue mark doubleplusgoodthink.

The pilot inspects the Eagle for any nicks and scratches before taking off. One must always look good whilst killing.

Very cool! The little poke at 1984 is funny.

Not bad, not bad. It's smooth and studless, at least. It is a little bit thick and blocky in places, but not a terribly bad way. I've actually been thinking of doing some Iron Reich stuff myself, but I never think my creations are good enough... heh...

Looks a bit blocky, and the engines could use some work. See, now a lot of gunships on MOCpages are based off of BF2142. It's an awesome game.

It could've used better slope blending on the roof. I like the engine design though, with its slits for air intakes.
