About this creation

ok it would be fair to thank Chris Roach, while this isn't a direct copy of his mini TF frame, some elements are similar.

The basic "look" is intended to be Cybertronian, but I have to admit the results do remind me strongly of the animated version (one of my favourites) but there are large aspects that don't fit. This is not a copy of any existing version of Prime from any current continuity, so any critique should take this into account, it is MY idea of what Prime would look like in MY fan fiction.

That said the limbs need some work. It is obvious to me that the legs are lacking. They need to be much longer, particularly below the knee. They could also benefit from beefing up a bit, they give him a quite small footprint, hardly what we've come to expect from the matrix bearer.

I'm happy (ish) with the arms, but maybe need to do something about the hands and maybe the shoulder at the joint with the main body. there are also a lot of visible studs, I'd prefer it to be largely studless from the front.

To Accommodate the transformation there is a huge empty space between the shoulder blades. I'll need to think about ways I might fill that without impeding the transformation. But as things stand, anything viewed from the rear is not an issue.

Weapons?! I'm going to compare how other MOCers have tackled his iconic blaster. That said I don't want to just copy. I also would like it to be incorporated into the vehicle form if possible. Which (depending on how I retool the legs) might not be too difficult.

Quoting LTE CEO of MMWI cool. I think the shoulders could use some work, but heck, this is OPTIMUS PRIME. I like it a lot, and BTW, you made MOCpages homepage.
Yeah, I didn't mention it in the description, but the shoulders do look a little small to me too. I did try beefing them up a little for version 1.5, which just features a few cosmetic changes, but for some reason LDD wouldn't let me transform him back into vehicle form, so clearly I placed something wrong.

Ya I definitely see the hover idea u were planning. And don't get me wrong the things look awesome. Maybe if u made a swivel piece that would put the front wheel lower for truck mode, and I would swing back for robot mode

Quoting MortalSwordsman . An excellent and unique take on this. I really like him. I didn't know that you can get coloured pneumatic Ts.
you can in the extended theme on ldd4.2, however I'm not sure if you can actually buy them.

Quoting Callan Lord of Fire Hey, that's pretty neat! Bravo, it's always nice to see a great Optimus Prime! Only thing that bothers me a little is the position of the face plate. Other than that, brilliant!
There is a version 1.5 which alters the head slightly which might minimise how "munkey" the face looks. I'll post some pics tomorrow (if I remember).

Quoting "Pick" (brickunion758) Pretty cool for a small scale. If anything I think the ab/ grill section could use a little touch up, and the thigh sorta hangs a bit lower then the wheel. But those are such minor nit picks, other wise, I think it's awesome!!! (oh and I REALLY like the hand design)
I see what you mean, I'm rethinking the grill for V2. The problem with the wheel/thigh is because the wheels were a last minute substitute for my original idea, which was some kind of hover/tread system to give it more of a Cybertronian form. they would have extended much further out, but the engineering looked too kibbly in robot form so I've ditched it (for now) but perhaps in V2 it might get a re-jig.
