Heroica: Assault on Castle Ravenloft
After a most humiliating defeat at Waldurk, the Dark Druid fled to regain his strength. He summoned his dark forces and captured the fortress Ravenloft, up in the north.
About this creation

Ravenloft was always black, but never this dark.

To play the game, you must have four people. Three players and the Ruler of Heroica, who controls the monsters. At the start of the game, the Ruler chooses three heroes and puts them in the dungeon. More on that later.

The remaining three heroes must pull the switches on both guard towers. One on this tower...

...And the other on this tower, which is partly destroyed by the heroes' siege engines. There is fire here, which you must roll a Sword or a Shield to get over.

Once both switches are pulled, the gate opens into the Courtyard.

That statue is strength three.

Once you get to the end of the Courtyard, you can go up the tower, or down into the dungeon.

This is the dungeon.

Remember those three heroes the Ruler chose at the beginning? They're right here.

The players can free them, and once they do they may take control of them.

See that square piece inside that inlet? Activate it to get transported...

To the Sub-Basement! Kill those giant ants and get to the statue at the end to get one these Relics.

From left to right, they are:
The Gem of Invisibility
The Chalice of Life
The Horns of Skill
The Scroll of Fortune
and The Can of the Black Fox

Up the tower.

Kill the spiders.

Pull that switch.

To open this gate.

Open.

That scorpion is strength two. Climb up the vine.

Defeat these werewolves and up the spiral staircase.

Boss room!

The Dark Druid is strength four, and is immune to heroes' skills.

These are Enemy Doors and Switches. There are four on the board, one in each area. The Ruler may generate enemies from these gates. They are activated when the party enters that area. When the party gets to the end of that area, the Ruler puts a switch on the board, and the heroes can get that switch to shut off the gate.
After all the players have their turns, the Ruler gets his turn. He may move up to three monsters, attacking heroes as they get to them.

These are weapon upgrades. There are three for each weapon. Each one gives the hero plus one strength if he uses that weapon. (For example, the Barbarian gets a blue upgrade, so if he uses the bow, he is strength two. If he gets another blue upgrade, he will be strength three, and so on.)

This is the shop. In order to "mass produce" potions, they don't have stoppers.

So, what do you think?

Just now seeing this. I love so many of the ideas for the gameplay, and especially love your scroll, dungeon and basement full of ants areas, and the concept of using the vines to climb to the next part of the map. Awesome scope!

I can tell that a lot of effort has been put into the creation of this board. I would really like to see a detailed how-to-build instruction guide for this, as I would like to try this out myself. I may also incorporate some of the relics and other items you have added to the game idea.

wow great creation, but could you make a list of the stats for your monsters and post it as a new creation pictures included?

Awesome 3D board game! It's a pity that the games the Lego company makes don't have that many details.

Quoting andhe ;-) It looks like you've put a lot of thought into the gameplay and traps etc. I'd like to know what abilities the extra relics give the heroes?
If you click on the links, you should find rules for those Relics on the page it takes you to.

Maybe my first comment was a bit harsh. I should have choosen my words a bit more carefully. I understand it's not always possible to get the parts you want to use, but for some reason it just "doesn't feel right" to see the "normal 2X2 plates" in a Heroica build, I think that is what I wanted to say

Quoting Yayo . "In order to "mass produce" potions, they don't have stoppers." No. Putting a "stopper" on a potion has noting to do with preventing mass production. Not putting "stoppers" on potions is just lazy. Nothing more, nothing less. Also not using real movement tiles, but normal 2X2 tiles is a bit weak... The idea is nice but your builds feels incomplete. I saw creations made by you that where much better, this is just not one of them...
I meant, about the stoppers, that since I do not have enought studs of the correct color to go with the correct potion (there are four blue potions but I have only three blue studs) I forewent using studs altogether. And excuse me for my lack of 2x2 jumper plates, as I do not have the money nor the permission to buy new LEGO parts whenever I need them.
