2012 MOCathalon: Meet Sam hard at work.
Darwin Awards. A throwback to Kelso's contest from a few years ago. Show someone unintentionally killing themselves in the most ironic way possible. The more crazier the better but it must be "grounded" (get it... that's a burial joke there...) in reality (to a point).

Team KILLAH Bricks: KILLAH Bricks

Entrance for category #7: Darwin awards.

Meet Sam the bricklayer, he had a hard day working on a roof.

Sam the Bricklayer was just not quite done.
He finished hes job, but the leftover stones still had to get down.

Taking them by hand was a hard lift and took a lot of time.

Then he got an idea for how to get it done fast and fine.

At the buttom of the scaffold, he knotted a robe.

A bucket on top could hold the bricks all at once.
Now all he had to do was lift it down from below.

But the bucket outweighted Sam, and he didnt know.
Shocked by the lift he held on to the rope.

Midways in the air the bucket Hit Sam, and broke his fine nose.

Sam still holded on, he didnt want to fall.
On top of the scaffold his hand got messed up.

The bucket hitted the ground and some of the bricks they fell out.

Now weighing less than Sam, gravity pulled him down.

Midways again, the bucket smacked up Sams jaw and his helmet fell off.

He landed hard on the ground and cracked up his skull.

If that wasnt enough Sams helmet hit him hard to.

He letted go of the rope, now the bucket came down.

Falling towards the ground, it aimed for his head.
Now this would for sure lead to Sams dead.

Now what is to be learned from this story about Sam.
Never get your job done to fast ... Never ever again !!

I heard something like an Irish folk song once, that told almost this exact story. I don't suppose you're familiar with something like that? Hehe, very funny (though a little morbid)!

Great job! Very entertaining. This comes from an old Irish song called "Why Paddy's Not At Work Today" and it is hilarious. Your MOC is equally hilarious and pays admirable homage to this classic tale.

Wow, this is absolutely, you know, in the words of the ninth doctor ;), BRILLIANT! Did you get this from a real Darwin Award? I swear I've heard this somewhere before... or maybe I'm thinking about the engineer plus the counterbalance... anyway, great moc! Super good luck, and you deserve at least 5, not 4!

Quoting StoveTop Creator Nothing like a good tale to spice up a super build accompanied by a great ghost pic! I notice those wonderfully built ladders are still in tack.... hmmm! :)

Quoting Paul Romano Hahaha! Reminds me of that song by The Corries called "The Bricklayer song." Did you use it for inspiration by any chance? Great job all around!
lol ... No ... Thats not where i got the inspiration. But between carpenters / builders in Denmark, a story very similiar gave me the inspiration.
