The Blazing Narwhal, A heavily armored classic scape themed battlecruiser.
About this creation
Main plasma cannon and the little knob that you turn to retract the landing gear.
I tried to use lots of bizarre pieces for the greeblies, so there's the back of a boat-hauler truck.
Side panels open on each side to reveal a space buggy, and a station of some kind.
The back is kind of... unfinished. I got myself into a whole bunch of weird angles and such that would be terribly fragile if I built them, also, they let me poke my finger in so I can remove the roof! =)
At least the engines look cool.
Let's just say they pump out 500 million kilo-tons of thrust of something. This is fiction, after all.
Caution stripes? The Classis Space flag? Nobody knows what the yellow and black stripes mean....
To they interior, away!
This works perfectly on soft carpet when the landing gear poke into the floor-fibers =P
Behold my lack of classic-space men! This not-so-spaceman is watching the news.
This fellow is installing a new guage set into one of the little docks built in the walls.
Blue guy is the closest I can come the the reality of classic-space men. And he looks spiffy! =P Also, he's pointing out that red guy should press ctrl+alt+del.
The suspiciously Blacktron fellow pilot the cruiser. Not originally intended, but after a while he did seem a smidge out of place
The Classic Space Mission: To stop Meg@bl0k evil where-ever it abounds!
I told you they could retract! I TOLD you, I told you! =P (In reference to the killer rabbit)
Wow! I wish Lego had made these when I was kid in the 80's! I like the Classic Space colour scheme and you haven't forgotten the essential black & yellow detail. I also like the "implied" windscreen (or is it an energy shield?). I don't have many windscreen bits and this is a nice solution to the problem that I'd like to use sometime.
to be honest, it seems a bit unfinished to me, the landing gear and cockpit are important elements on a ship, as for the good news well, the shape and details are great, the color scheme is also nice, it particularly make the engines shine, the concept of carrying vehicles is very cool, and the interior is inspired, I d still invest some parts and time on this if possible, as it s worth it!
Nice build. Not enough spaceships in the world named after a narwhal. So, thanks for that. I love the design and the interior is clever. Nice job on the landing gear as well as all the other moving parts. The thrusters are also very well done.
