About this creation
However, it's soon clear that they are arriving too late.
"Damn it all to hell. Why did we not get info on alien forces moving on Polanskis location?"
"Well, they sure ain't here anymore. So where've they gone?"
Slowly Yhid moves across the floor against the closest body.
"Polanski. You stupid bastard to go and die on me like this."
"Well, at least they took some of them 'liens with 'em."
"What a mess they made tough."
"Sir? There's someone in the weapons locker!"
"Well engineer, get the hatch open!"
"Come out and indentify yourself!"
"Oh am I glad to se you! I'm private Qarn sir! I was knocked out during the fight and locked myself up in here until a rescue party would arrive!"
"Why did you not contact Command, private?"
"I've tried sir, but all wireless communication has gone down. The aliens must have jammed it all..."
"Seems like he's right. Just what I needed. This will make my life so much more interesting."
"Guess no one made it but me huh?"
"No, I don't think so really. Nice too meet you anyway! I'm combat engineer Dvorkin."
"They might have jammed the wireless but they damned well haven't got enough time yet to hack the internal communcations network!"
"No it's still online. Command! Captain Yhid reporting. Polanski and his squad except one have all been KIA. Aliens have hit dockingbay B and moved on. All wireless is appearantly disabled. Requesting instructions."
"Command to Yhid. Proceed from your position to sublevel D5. From what we can tell, the aliens are converging upon the lower science facilities. Any reinforcements to the security will be urgently needed. You are to join with any remaining security force if possible, and in every other regard disrupt the alien manouevers troughout the sublevels. Command out."
Captain Yhid holds a speech. It's not very long.
Not extremly inspiring. But very informative.
Then he leeds the squad onwards to defending their base.
Private Qarns toughts linger with his lost comrades.
But Jaar just thinks he's silly.
"It's okay Qarn. No matter what they say, it's always okay to look back."
