Motorized B-model of 8261
I have motorized the B-model of 8261. This fast, manoeuvrable lorry is left. I hope you will be inspired by it to do it by yourself.
About this creation
General data
Speed: 1,5 km/h
weight: +/- 500 gram
gear ratio: 40:24 x 20:28= 1:1,2
Motors: 1 XL motor for driving
1 M motor for steering
Recievers: one, in the cabin

text+photo's

In the photo below, you see the back of the model. Because the model is so small, all the PF-functions form a big part of the model.

The steering system of this vehicle was rather abrupt. But in this position the M-motor fit exactly in the space under the model. When I had wanted a more smooth way of steering, I should have built the M-motor upright in the cabin. But that would have implicated no space for the receiver. So I chose for this option.

This is the photo of the orignial model. Really meagre and thinny, when you have seen my model. When you want to build this too, look closely to my photo's, and you will not need any building instructions!

I am impressed. Motorizing a small set is more difficult than a large one.

Wow! That is one of the last sets I would expect to be motorized! Yet it looks like it works well too. I like the positioning of the electronics.
