"Beyond The Veil"
My next contest entry for the "HP Series" contest. This one from Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix. Please comment, rate and enjoy!
About this creation

Here we have the scene from the book and film of "Harry Potter And The Order of The Phoenix." in which Harry and his godfather Sirius Black duel Lucius Malfoy and another Death Eater in front of the veil.

A better view of the whole moc.

The duel. (Sorry that it's slightly blurry.)

Harry and Sirius.

Malfoy and the other Death Eater.

The other Death eater reflecting two spells.

Lucius shooting a spell at Harry.

The top of the veil.

The right of the moc.

Another view.

The left hand side of the moc.

The back of the moc. I'm still not to sure about the blue in the veil. Hence the pictures coming up later.

An overview of the duel.

A birds-eye view.

'Harry saw Sirius duck Bellatrix's jet of red light: he was laughing at her.
"Come on, you can do better than that!" he yelled, his voice echoing around the cavernous room.
The second jet of light hit him squarely on the chest.
The laughter had not quite died from his face, but his eyes widened in shock.'
...
'It seemed to take Sirius an age to fall: his body curved in a graceful arc as he sank backwards through the ragged veil hanging from the arch.'
-- From "Harry Potter And The Order of The Phoenix" by J.K. Rowling, page 710.

Sirius disappearing.

Sirius floating away again.

Looking back through the veil at Harry once Sirius has vanished.

And then I took the blue out to see what it would be like.

A closer view.

The back without the blue.

Quoting A M Nice one! The rockwork is quite good and the irregular base is a great touch that wraps the MOC up very well.
Thank you! --Blast--

Quoting Seth Bryan Here are your scores. Minifigures: 23. These are just about perfect. Build: 20. I really like the angled plates in the base. As you said, I'm not sure about the blue veil. I sort of like it without. Creativity: 20. This is a pretty original idea, and one of the only ones i'd seen like it. Real: 25. Spot on! Total: 88.
Cool! Thanks. It's nice to see the contest is moving on. --Blast--

Nice! Interesting technique on the spell deflecting. Also, I see what you did with Malfoy's wand/cane... Good idea.

I cried when I read that Sirius died in the books... the movie I didn't see... didn't think it would be that great. Nice build on the other hand!
