BRE Racing's own Datsun Roadster. All in all a very fun MOC. Well, fun Lego build, I'll let you decide whether or not the MOC's any good. =P
About this creation

Yet another study in how complicated a curved box can become, for comparison, consider a sidewalk built out of sunglasses and held together entirely with masking tape. Built on a cliff.

For added effect, I added those little paper/ album photo holders in the corners. Also, the pics are slightly yellow for that premium aged look. Not by accident this time, either.

46.

And 46 facing the other way!

The back. What sticker paper holding the 1x2-slopes-on-the-side-because-I-couldn't-find-a-way-to-attach-them-but-they-looked-so-dang-good-there?

So maybe I did cheat a smidgen. Also, there's a paperclip in the pneumatic tubing roll cage.

Snazzy dash, with lots of details like gauges and pedals. And that's all you need.

The limey seats make a comeback! =D

Seeming an ordinary Datsun, but by night, it's an Autobot fighting crime an- oh wait, wrong MOC.

Or was it? Yeah, it was. The race track is the perfect place to try out a new hood hinge! =P

Rather than having an engine, my Lego model is powered by two skaters that run as fast as they can on a little treadmill.

Heres the pseudo limited-slip-diff., makes the wheel assembly more durable and easier to steer.

"Ima 'splode red" gas tank. With lines!

I may have neglected to mention, but sadly my McPherson strut design disintegrates and combusts when converted to 14-wide. So this has pendular steered front wheels.

The back, though, in all of it's triumph, has maintained my shock absorbers! *Insert applause for Datsun here*

Thank you for viewing!

This totally brings me back to my real datsun 69 roadster 2000 i had a few years back. I should have used sticky paper to hold my winshield in. Very well done sir. Anytime a datsun is recreated, in real life, or lego is a good thing! Now wheres that 240z |

Does the limited slip diff actually work or just for looks?
It works in-that the wheels can turn independent of one another, but it doesn't have any gears to transfer the axles power from the wheels to a model engine. But that didn't matter much because I didn't add a working fake engine. =) |

This is a beautifully styled, attractive creation! The 46 on the side looks great. It has a great interior, too and the seats are very nice indeed! Does the limited slip diff actually work or just for looks? Coz it looks pretty nice, anyway! :-)
All in all, a top creation! |

Exhilarating! Very authentic! I love this car!
perfectly shaped and perfect built ( paper-stickers, for fixing bricks are ok.) The numbers in the doors are great! The photo-holder corners are also an nice idea.
Congratulations to your Roudster! |

I think you should build the 240Z now ;-)
I would, but Allan wanted to build it and I have built 3 cars for BRE =P. Maybe I'll do the baja version and save it for posting later. |

What a gorgeous car! Love the bodywork, especially the no. and stripes. Only iffy bit is colour choice for the seat, otherwise this is superb in every respect. 10/10, one of my favourite builds this year |
