I'd have given this MOC a 'Like' for the Title alone. =) Cheers, and nice craftsmanship on the System-work you've done here, m8. Cheers! |

Great job!!! What is the floor of the cave made off? Is it lego, or is it paper that you laided the cave out on? Great job, and congrats on a perfect score!!!!! |

Thanks...but how does this not fit the category?! "11. Myths and Legends: Build a scene showing a famous myth or legend. IE: Paul Bunyon, Olympus, Headless Horseman, etc." The Yeti is a legendary mythological creature who's existence is surrounded by countless myths and legends. I'd say this suits the category perfectly.
Yes the Yeti is a mythICAL creature surrounded with myths and legends but that creature itself shown in a cave watching TV isn't really part of any actual myth. Yes it's hilarious and I REALLY DO love this MOC, but, to me, the Yeti by itself, just doesn't really seem part of any story, myth, or legend. Anyway, it's still hilarious, still an excellant MOC, just not what I personally expected for this category. |

First of all, I am amazed at the personality that you consistently fit in your models. I keep laughing every time I look at the 'Yeti's' expression! The shaping of his body is excellent, as is the simple rock-work in the caves. Despite all these popping details, I find the final effect falls just shy of perfect. BUT, when I zoomed into original size on Flickr, I noticed the straw which brought me up to a 5. Score: BARELY getting by on a 5 |
|
|
Not only is this a great build, but it's hilarious AND it's a great play on words with the title. I just seem to keep tripping over fives here... 5 points ~ Chris. |

Fantastic MOC! I looked at you photo about the TV & lighting, but I am still struggling to figure it out. Is the photo of the church/Taj Mahal(?) in the picture of the MOC? Are the tiles that make up the back of the TV set/sky clear or opaque? |

This is back flipping brilliant. First of all it's a great idea, a yeti watching a tropical TV program. The lighting is impressive, with a sunny, warm appearance on the TV, then cold, almost blue looking air in the cave. Amazing job. |

Very unique! I'm assuming you used editing for this?
-LB Senior
Nope. There was no editing done. The "TV" is set back into the wall allowing me to light it with a desk lamp from above. The rest of the scene remained masked off from the desk lamp so that it could be lit differently. |
