Ladder 1 is a 2012 Pierce Arrow XT 8-man cab. Credit goes to Zak O. for the Pierce front and lighting design and credit goes to Tom D. for the cabinet positioning.

Quoting Xavi! .
Someone was trying to make their truck NFPA compliant with Chevrons.
Not sure how to reply to that. |

Good engine. Nice proportions! Keep up the good work. I would change the main picture though. It is kind of blurry.

Wont be able to change the picture- this vehicle has been changed into a new rig. Check out the new Engine one. |

its a nice starter truck, very cool pieces on this to! I would lower the ladder, and the rear section of the trucks, since most ladders need some sort of way for your guy to get up ;), on the mirrors I like that you added them, unlike most people around here, I believe I have the solution for that, check out the mirrors on my truck, http://www.emergencybricks.com/index.php?/gallery/image/1584-stock-aerial-scope/ if you notice, its got a good look and size, plus lets you fit it in the traditional 8 wide bays most stations have, I would also expose the pump panel, I love pump panels and their looks, and regret getting my Engine 3 a PUC, any ways welcome to the community, and be sure to check out some of my stuff, and check out MedLinlk! -Paulo R. This is my second try at a ladder. My first being in '08. I did this to like like Rykember11's Tanker-Engine-Ladder. I'm used to Rykember11 so it will take a while to get used to saying Zak. Anyway, about the pump. This was actually an engine that I kept secret from everyone for a long time. It's actually a top mount. And top mounts don't look good on ladders. The reason the ladder is high is because of the hose bed.I don't like taking apart rigs majorly, especially when it's one of my favorites. I'm thinking about making the rear of the cab a raised roof so the ladder looks normal. As for Medlink, I have no intention of joining. It's nothing against you or James or any of the guys. It's the fact that I'm starting my own ambulance company.

Nice! Looks great, though I think you could do the mirrors a little smaller and the roll-ups covering the pump panel should be gray. And I love that it's an Arrow XT. I'm definately an Arrow XT man, check out my fleet and you'll see haha.
I've seen your fleet and you are a Pierce fan! I don't have any more grey roll-ups. If I get around to ordering from Bricklink I'm going to order some grey rollups! The town I live in has a Pierce Arrow XT ladder and I wanted to replicate it. I'll try and get a pic of it and put it on here!! As for the mirrors.. They didn't look good with the small boring Lego ones and it doesn't look good without mirrors either. So I had to do this. Besides, if you were driving a long rig you would want big mirrors, wouldn't you? I have to admit I'm not the best on mirrors. Now I could get away with that on an Impel if I made the mirrors be attached to the roof and stick out... |
