want to have some bug fun? actually the recipe is quite simple- take a stock Beetle, cut the rear half of it off and replace it with furious engine. that's it, there is Your bug which will at the same time put smile on Your face and thrill fear in Your mind when You put Your feet deep down on the throttle pedal. it s got a charm of hot rod, it's discreet at the looks but underneath the unpretentious upper skin there s a capacity of wild performance.
About this creation
the stock Beetle
and the bug rod what's made out of that
I'm not an Arab Sheik who s trying to sell You overpriced oil so the LDD file of the model is up for download and You can get it and build Your own bug rod ;)
Wow, you really have been busy, haven't you? :-)) You really got the design elements of the classic beetle very well anf the mix with the pick up cab design and the big engine is awesome! Great job! :-))
Thanks for all Your comments and 5stars. ok. this car has a love or hate factor regarding the rear part. it's a matter of style preference and I understand the roders in the put on the rear mudguards camp. but I've got the opposite feel. I bare in mind that when You build and tune this in garage by Your own hands the maximization of mechanical simplicity is the key. mudguards at rear is a waste. this is not a sweet beetle boy with all hair on it's head. this is a half bold speed monster which likes to show off his cylinder genitals at the rear and no mudguards should cover anything :)
The back could use some more bling, or something to compensate for the lack of.... everything aside the engine. =P However, the front is just brilliant! I like the stripe, and you certainly nailed the Beetle shape. The stock version is very nice aswell!
