This post is a bit shorter than the original version, because as always, MOCpages had an error while I was writing it the first time and wouldn't let me access the text... Yet another thing wrong here...
It's been about a week now since the first construction journal, so for the 5 or 6 people that read this, here is the new one (Don't expect weekly updates, with my dwindling part supply and funds, progress will quickly slow)
Interestingly, this tower section was the first part of the SHIP I built, and the rest was made to scale with it. Unfortunately attaching it wasn't very easy.
When I tried to fit the tower into the hole (shut up) the supports underneath broke, causing this pile of parts to fall to the floor. Fortunately, the damage was easy to repair.
I think the greebling is probably my favorite part of this. And coming up with functions for each thing.
Moving a bit farther back, I've gotten some more work done. From right to left: hangars, windows, escape pods, cannons, missile tubes.
A shot of the whole SHIP, still under construction.
Well, that's about it for pictures. On a slightly different subject, I'm trying to come up with a name for this thing (to be displayed in brick-built form on the upper part of the ship). My only ideas right now are UES (United Earth Ship) Titan or UES Mother of Invention. If anyone has any ideas, please provide them (less than 20 letters or so, so I can fit it on the SHIP). Comments are appreciated, and will likely help with construction.
