My category:

16. Fairy Tales
Release the inner princess in you by making a scene from a fairy tale. Whether its Alice in Wonderland or Snow-White, be sure it contains elements from a fairy tale. It can be a cross between multiple stories, for example, "Little Red Riding hood meets Cinderella climbing the Beanstalk". No size restrictions, just make sure it ends with everyone living "happily ever after"!

After searching around on Wikipedia for a while I found a HUGE list of official Fairy Tales. Most of them where new to me so I was kinda lost but after about an hour of reading I found a story I recognized: "The Boy who cried Wolf" (I didn't really know it was a Fairy Tale but if it's on Wikipedia its fine for me!). I've heard the story many times (mostly when I was a kid) and so the build was a fast one.

The story is about a young Sheppard Boy who is minding his father's flock. After a while he becomes bored (as one would minding sheep =P) and plays a trick on his friends by crying out: "WOLF!". His friends rush to help him but when they find out there is, in actuality, no wolf attacking the flock, they walk away in annoyance, this occurs repeatably.
But after a few hours an ACTUAL wolf DOES attack the flock. When the boy cries for help, his friends think he is pulling another trick on them so they ignore his cries. The flock is destroyed (some versions of the story say the boy is killed as well but that's a little harsh I think) and the young boy learns a valuable life lesson; liars are not rewarded, even if they are telling the truth and that honesty is the best policy.
Thus, the young sheppard lives happily ever after as a honest little munchkin (=P).

I kinda substituted speed for details in this build. The deadline draws closer....

The Boy who cried Wolf (Ironic, I know.).

The wolf taking a sheep. The sheep was inspired by Blake Baer's sheep design (Yeah, one of the judges =P) and the wolf is a lightly modified versions of The Invisible Mime's.

My tree design (I'm quite proud of it =D).

And lastly the Wolf, one of the sheep and the Boy who cried wolf.

(Judges don't be afraid to be blunt (I would give myself a low score too!))

The base is bare but the sheep and wolf were your saving grace. Just barely scrapped up a score of 3. ~ Chris.

Yeah, I wanted to get this one out of the way so I can focus on the "King for a Day" category. Got some SWEET ideas for it! Hows your builds coming?
