"The defendant is found guilty on both charges of second degree murder, armed bank robbery, association with a gang, owning of an illegal weapon, and carjacking. Sentencing will be carried out on April 19th."
The criminal stood up. "What?! You can't do this to me! You hear me? You son of a-"
The old guard stepped in to settle down the angry fugitive.
Three men walked into the lobby.
The guards were relaxed.
One of them stepped forward,"Sorry, gentlemen. No one is allowed to enter the courtroom, even law enforcement like yourselves."
The revolver was cocked. *Gulp*
"Hey, what was that?"
Two guards lay in pools of blood. One had reached for her sidearm, but was to late.
The two remaining fakes (one had been taken out)fired upon the remaining guard.
He had his pistol drawn. He pulled out his radio; "Help! We have gunman in the building! Shots fired! I repeat, shots fired, and we have gunman in the building, dressed as officers! I need backup!"
"Everyone, get down!"
No one argued.
Jim pulled out his Glock, ready to defend anyone.
John crawled up by the door. Being just next to it would keep him out of the line of fire.
"Great!" he thought. Years after that one day Eric's murder was arrested and sentenced, and now people are trying to rescue him!
Out in the lobby, the fake cops took cover.
Their backup had arrived, with the big gun.
One of the officers swung open the door and fired down the hall.
One of the new gunman fired back-
with a submachine gun.
The brave officer was hit square in the chest.
He collapsed to the ground-
There was nothing John could do about it. Reaching for the gun would put him in the line of fire.
The "rescue party" peered down the hallway, looking for their next target.
The court guard ran towards the entrance in an attempt to hold them off. He didn't notice the old gang member behind him get up.
He was grabbed-
-and thrown to the ground.
Jim turned to help-
-but as soon as he did, lead poured out of the door.
The old fugitive gained the advantage.
And while the dazed guard was still on the ground, he shot him, smack in the stomach.
He ran out to his buddies. Still, John couldn't do a thing.
In an attempt to eliminate all witnesses, the machine gunner opened up on the courtroom.
One person took a hit to the leg.
That was it, John thought. He had sat around long enough.
Without considering his safety, he grabbed the barrel and dove onto his oponnent.
Meanwhile, the rest were making their escape.
John gained control, and threw the gunman down the hallway.
While the unarmed one fled, the remainder attempted to finish off John.
He wasn't very succesful.
"We've gotta follow them!"
Outside, a cruiser pulled up.
Seargent Harrison and another officer hopped out. They had gotten a frantic call from passerbies about serious gunfire at the courthouse.
They weren't the first responders.
The suspects charged out of the building.
"Freeze!" shouted the motorcycle officer. He had little hope it would work, but it was worth a shot.
The stubborn criminals opened fire.
The officer stumbled back-
And dycked behind the cruiser, as bullets slammed into it.
They were pinned down.
The crooks made sure of it.
One of the officer's took his chances and returned fire-
-hitting one in the leg.
The would-be jailbird provided cover fire as one of the other's went to assist the fallen man.
An SUV pulled to a stop...
"That 's the getaway vehicle! We need to stop it!" said Harrison.
He stood up and took a couple of shots.
A window shattered.
The criminals piled into the car.
The policemen made a charge.
John and his colleage burst out of the building.
"There they are! Stop!"
It didn't go over to well...
A large, metal object flew from the car.
An explosion rocked the street, shrapnel flew in all directions, trashing the cycle and rendering the cruiser useless. The fugitives sped away.
John slowly sat up.
"John, are you alright?!" asked a concerned Jim. No, of course not! Years of waiting, all for nothing.
"John, I'm sorry."
I hope you liked this episode! I have found that making a series is actually alot harder than it looks, but it's worth it! I know this episode was more like a deja vu of the prologue, but I'll try and keep the next ones interesting. And when the last photo is darkness, it's suspose to mean a suspensful ending, the screen on the TV suddenly goes back and you hear the Duh-duh-duh-duh! Still open for suggestions, and anyone willing to propose ideas for a small story plot that lasts an episode or two is welcome!
