Tierk Stemel was a human Jedi Knight during the Clone Wars and the years before. As an Tierk was badly burned and scarred when he was involved in a mid-air collision on Coruscant and he carried the scars with him as he grew up.
Tierk was well known for his skill with the reverse grip style of Form V, something that his former Master had discouraged in the boy.
During the Clone Wars Tierk was assigned to the 77th Battalion under the Command of Jedi Master Harash Soru. Tierk was a skilled leader however he was later killed in an explosion during one of the 77th's many campaigns.
