The Dream Simulator for Evaluating the Unconscious Mind
The boundary between reality and dreams is loosely defined. The Dream Simulator allows the exchange of substances between these two realms and subsequently permits observable and objectified measurements of the unconscious mind. This experiment quantified the ability of the unconscious brain in sleep to balance desire and restraint. Alert subjects were motivated to avoid painful stimulus by restraining their desire to flush a toilet in their dreams generated by the Dream Simulator. Prior to induced sleep, subjects were given diuretics to increase the desire to urinate. Of the 50 participants tested, 43 flushed the toilet, 5 did not flush, and 2 refrained from using the toilet. The results are conclusive of the general inability of the unconscious mind to suppress desire.
Wait, so, if what I think I'm seeing is true, if the subject flushes the toilet, it fills the barrel which moves a lever to cut a rope which releases that giant death spear/battering ram onto the actual sleeping person?!?!?! Really cool MOC, I love the hat-toilet bowl.
I have to admit, at first glance I sort of dismissed this wonderful little creation. However, as I studied your detail here and read your description, I began to realize that this creation has some incredible complexity to it. I love your bathroom detail (nice touch using the explorers hat as a toilet bowl) and the computer detail especially. It all looks very labish. This is a really neat little creation.
The idea behind this is as brilliant as the MOC itself. Inception 3.1415 ...
I like it

Insane COOL! This should win the overall best idea award if there is one. Having real water, and explicit details is one thing, a controversial title, and clean presentation is another, you left the building with this one!
Although I'm not sure how this pertains to the category, you certainly made a a smashing MOC. Only you could be so brutally twisted. If you flush (which is the natural desire) it fills up the barrel, which ways down the axe, which chops the rope, which drops the huge spike on your sleeping body. Genius! Score: Solid 4
It's a very interesting piece, but the tie-in to the category is far reaching. I do understand he's doing himself in by going to the bathroom, but it's not realistic as the category states it should be. Even so, your building (and imagination) is fantastic. Score= 4
Again, the category escapes me, but I feel it makes sense in your complex mind. I was leaning toward a solid 4 until I saw the fiber-optic connection with the flex-tubing(of is it the pneumatic tubing?). Brilliant look for water! Score: 5
You built a dream MOC inside of another MOC. It's really neat. I don't know what is more impressive: the complexity of the idea, or the simplicity of your solution. Suspending the "dream" on top of the lightning bolts is an excellent idea. If it was a film, they would have to use CGI, but you did it with bricks. As is so often the case with your work, I am both captivated and delighted. Attack!
