Witch King Sword
About this creation
The Witch King, or Lord of the Nazgul is the leader of the Nazgul (Ring Wraiths). This is his sword, built like all my others, 1:1 scale.

Stats:

  • Overall length: 54in (137.16cm)

  • Blade length: 40in (101.6cm)

  • Handle length: 14in (35.56cm)

  • Estimated Crossguard length: 12in (30.48cm)

I don't have much to say about this weapon other than it's long, it actually has a unsharpened spot near the cross guard where you can put your hand on it.

So I found a picture or two of this sword with flames, and decided to make a flaming version. I first attempted to make Lego® flames, but found it tedious and hard to get the pieces to go where I wanted. I decided GIMP would give me better results. The picture above is my first attempt. It looks ok, but I like the picture below way better.

Thanks for looking! Tell me what you think of the flaming sword.

Ok, heres my top tip: build the entire sword sideways, connecting the bricks with plates, then build a handle sideways. I may post instructions someday. happy orc slashing!

Quoting Draconic Master of the Dragon Dude, that is so dang HUGE! it looks almost identical to the real thing! bravo! hey, and i was just wondering, if you bought that in real life, would you be able to swing it around? like, slash imaginary orcs with it? if not, I have loads of ideas about stability that i could share if you want. Keep up the epic mocs!
Thanks! Um if I bought it, it would end up a display piece. So no, it's not sturdy, it's 54inches long granted 14 of that is handle, and very sturdy, I'm not sure 40 inches of blade would handle too much swinging, but I would be glad to hear any ideas you have on making it sturdier!
