2012 Mocathalon Entry: Mafia weapons
Team Moctley Crew in Category: 18 Out of LEGO.
About this creation
2012 MocAthalon
A Moctley Crew

Thereís a good reason why the Mafia is one of the most dangerous crime syndicates in history. Brutal and unmerciful, Mafia hitmen would snuff out their enemies with a unique set of weapons.

Short, concealable, and brutally effective, the ice-pick was the go-to weapon when surprise was critical. It is shown here next to a variant of the ice-pick family, the mason's screwdriver.

With a quick thrust, an assassin could drive an ice-pick through a victimís skull, causing a painful and lingering death.

Stiletto: a name synonymous with Mob violence, and my all-time favorite type of knife.

Featuring a snap -open or telescoping blade, Stilettos were used to punch holes through the lungs, heart, stomach, and other vital organs of a victim.

A cigar, thrown in as a bonus. Iím especially proud of the chewed-up end :)

Background info:
This was an uber-quick entry for the contest; itís not the greatest entry by any means, but with a few of my teammates down and out for the count, I wanted to get the ĎCrew a few extra points to stay in the game.

GO MOCTLEY CREW!

The folding in the knife was definitely a detail that brought it to life. I like the barrel on the ice-pick, too.

Quoting Christopher Baldacci The cigar is pretty sweet. Great use of that hair for the chewed-up end. The switchblade handle looks a little weird but I really like the concept. Great work!
Yeah, I agree the handle is a bit funky; I have next to no brown tiles. Time for a Bricklink order, I guess :P

If the switch blade folded all the way, that would be outstanding.

This is epic on so many levels! I love the cigar. I think the wooden handle of the switchblade could use some work though.

I will have you know, sir, that I am in fact part Italian (Sicilian, to be exact) and have relatives who actually do work for the Mob... :D Thanks for the comment!
