Lego Transformers Space Shuttle, inspired by Decepticon Seekers. Includes LDD model.
About this creation
A simple but cool-looking (at least from the front) Lego Transformers that transforms into a space shuttle. Not so big, so should be a quick build, at least with the correct parts :P

Heavily inspired by Decepticon seeker. Don't know what to call him yet. Also implemented this in Lego Digital Designer, with some small (untested changes).

A couple of issues that needs improvement:

  • Hands will leave a gap in spaceship mode in middle

  • Feet are a bit puny, the ball joints at the bottom look a bit puny. Also, they are struggling to support the weight

  • When folding up the nose part, the round 1x1 bricks are for attaching it to the upper part in spaceship mode. However, when transformed back, they have a tendency to
  • Legs are a bit fragile when turning into spaceship, can fall off. Originally had a reinforcing 8x1 at the inside of the legs, but removed it since it gets tight in the back.
  • Much 'empty space' on the back, does not look so good from behind

Cheers!

You'll need to show me how to transform this guy (step by step pictures, a youtube video, etc.) before I can start working on him. I also have a name for him that you could use if you want: Shoulder-Blade.

Quoting Cake - ster Nice. Right now I only have access to a computer without LDD but when I get to 1 that DOES have access, I'll take a look at your problems, try to fix them, post them as a moc and post another comment here with a link to it. And if you fix the problems as well, then we can figure out the best features from both of them and you can put them in one moc! Or you can say no, and I won't do anything you don't want me to do. Thanks for your reply! I would love to have some suggestions. This is only my first self-design. I see that there exists a lot of techniques already that I should learn :)
