The 37th annual Chariot Race of Sybarine
With the submission of the Thracian tribes the rebellion was over, and it was time to celebrate. The annual chariot races at Sybarine provided a perfect opportunity. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This build took a little over a week, (ok, I didn't build with LEGO the entire week but you get the idea!) It was a huge stretch. But me and my brother were able to complete it. I was heavily Inspired by the Novel and Movie Ben-Hur. Watch it! Read it! you'll love it! If I had more pieces and more time I would redo it. But sadly, this will have to do for now. ;) Thanks for your comments. :)

Wow Mark, wow. This build has me lying stunned on the floor! The detail is amazing! I love the movie Ben-Hurr to! This is an awesome scene from the movie, and you have captured it exactly! Also, in case you didn't notice, last time I checked, your top three creations ALL ENDED IN A 8!!! That is so cool!

Fantastic build. Ben-Hur is a great story. And you and your brother portrayed the chariot race well! Have you read the book? It is even better than the movie. -LB Senior

It's lacking in a few areas, but it's still an okay build. I particularly like the statue in the center. >Eric

This is great! I like the dust from the chariot wheels, the chariots themselves, your statue work, the lap counter with the fishes, and all the activity with your minifigs. I'm glad to see builds in this theme; it does not get nearly enough lego love. I also made chariot race just recently, I would love to get your feed back on it if you have a second. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/316315

The chariots look great, and the flying dust was a nice touch. I also like the statues, they make a good addition.

Charlton Heston was a great actor and director. This was my favorite scene in the entire movie.
