The Quozola are one of the strangest inhabitants in the nightmare forest, said to be one of the oldest existing species in the elemental universe, as well as ageless ancient spirits. Their origin is unknown. They are rarely seen moving and appear to posess strange powers. Only a few remain and it is unknown if they can breed in any form.
Normally they are in a deep slumber, waking up rarely. It is recommended not to wake any of them as they get very malevolent if they cannot sleep properly. When asleep, they disguise themselves as stone-like symmetrical structures and are often mistaken for ancient temples due to their gigantic size. Stone rubble tend to hover around when it's asleep.
When they finally are awake, they start moving around in search for their unique food: dreams.
Physically they appear to be made of dark stone like material, which they use for their advantage. The pod in the center appears to hold an immensely large brain and a narrow glowing red eye. Both the top and the bottom of the pod have 3 appendages coming out: the bottom having 3 legs and the top having 3 flexible arms hulking at the tips with spikes that can flip out.
The Quozola's arms are able to shoot a strange shadow substance, that causes the victim to fall into sleep or a trance, depending on the Quozola's will. The trance is for tormenting the victim's mind if the Quozola is in a malevolent mood. The sleep effect is for hunting dreams.
After having a victim fall into sleep, the Quozola brings out its spikes. It can control gravity with them to a limited area, aswell use them to enter the victim's mind and erase dreams.
Gaining access to minds, it can also take over and control the victim's thoughts, like giving nightmares and tormenting them to the edge. Whenever they are over with their hunt, they retract back to the nightmare forest, lay on the ground and start digesting the dreams it gathered. (Inaccurate size comparison in the pic.)
If the Quozola is content and provoked at that time, it can easily go on a rampage as it won't hunt dreams anymore, but simply destroy the surroundings, chasing it's provoker hardly giving up at all. This is when it might use its rarely seen ability, the gravity neutralizer, which makes everything nearby float in air and an easy target at the very same time.
This was all built in 2 hours. I was very eager to use my new pieces to create a pod-like structure and something tad more alien.
I've had some hard times to do anything at all. I'm suffering a bit from indecision as there are several creative hobbies I have and I'm only able to work with one at a time. In those terms, finishing Monarth's new form might take a very long time, so I can only say it's up hopefully by the summer. Meanwhile I think I'll concentrate elsewhere, like my other moc ideas and my fursuit project.
More epic innovation from the Mon-ster. Like your backstory, too. You've done some very n.p.u. work with those wheel-cylinders from the Powerminers sets... like those - never got any. Might pick some of those up, just to see what I can get away with =) CHEERS, m8. ;)
