SVFD's new Heavy Rescue 1, a 2012 Freightliner Coronado SD.
Equipped with a 50 ton crane, and other gear like chains, hooks and slings for the heavy lifting/recovery tasks.
The rig will be stationed at the motorpool, and will be sent to MVA's, water recoveries, collapses, etc. and will be used as a tow truck for the SVFD rigs.
It will be staffed by 2 mechanics of the motorpool who are volunteer Firefighters in SVFD.
And a big thanks to Bruce B. (body and cab modification), James K.(Crane design)Timo Schut (Moral support :P) and Paulo R. (for being a pain in my backside :P)
