This is my entry for the Periodic Bionicle contest, The Corex Beetle.

About this creation

Ability's, Venom liquifies iron
Features, 4 legs, large compound eyes, large horn, claw like front legs, venom spitters and heavy iron armour.
Defenses, head, claws and It can use its venom spitters to blind its enemy.

This is a Corex beetle, its main ability is spitting venom out of tubes over its front legs, this venom can heatlessly melt iron, they roll their backs into it to create a heavy armor on the beetle, this offers protection from predators (and annoyed matoran).
these beetles are considered a pest because they can ruin ironware that matoran use (and in some cases Toa armor) plus they're difficult to kill due to they're armor.

Quoting Gringat the Repugnant Looks just like an amazonian weevil. I'm thinking you could have gotten some extra articulation in the neck and front limbs if you used click-joints instead of those technic parts cast at a set angle. You have the parts-capacity.
