This is my entry for the Periodic bionicle contest 2012!. The rules are, make a small iron rahi with 60 pieces or less.

About this creation

My first idea for the contest was a crab, but I lock in the legs, then it occurred to me. He is a koru bird, a species of rahis that lives in all the islands of the matoran universe

Koru Birds have a variety of elements, depending on the area where they live, his name is Mekirih, his element is iron, because he lives in ravines where it abounds. The koru birds eat small insects and fruit ,like berries and scarabaxs

These birds are the size of a hummingbird, maybe a little bigger. Here is resting

And here is sleeping, they are diurnal, but if needed, they can hunt at night

The korus have a defense system consisting of a retractable blades on their wings, they take them out when they feel threatened. Another defense system are its claws.

To hunt use their big eyes to visualize his Prey, and when have it targeted ...

...They throw themselves over it, trapping it with its beak, to bad for the little one, but such is life.

Aditional notes: this little guy have 51 pieces, counted various times by yours truly. If my English is not really good, sorry, im not native english speaker, but im not so bad.
I have this built as 1 week ago, but I late on take the photos because i dont find my camera, i had posted this yesterday but i had problems with my computer
