At its inception, this design was an Arctides heavy mech, however, at this current date it is barely recognizable as such.
The pride and joy of one Norrin Avellar the second son of one of the bandit kings of the periphery. Always finding himself strapped for C-bills, Norrin has resorted to using pieces of whatever mechs he can jury-rig. The Mongrel is a motley assortment of parts scavenged from mutiple designs, not to mention, weight classes.
The known mechs that have contributed parts are listed below.

Nightshade
Palibacus
Watcher
Balrog

One can only wonder how Norrin can pilot this heap, but there have been many mechwarriors that have barely survived an encounter with him!

Quoting Tim C This awesome, Jon. I love not only the design, but the concept behind it. The patchwork mech, I love it. The color scheme is so haphazard and exactly what this "heap" needs. Love the weaponry and the mismatched feet are a favorite for me.
Thanks, Tim! I've had this idea rattling around for a while. I built the stock model first and then went from there. I'm glad you liked the mismatched feet. I originally planned to have a Balrog foot, but then I went farther out into left field. Again, thanks for the comment!
