I love the summit; is it solid or hollow? And how many pieces do you think it took you? Lethanger makes my dragon moc look tiny. Mine is a juvenile, though. *EDIT I've uploaded a larger dragon now, too. Check it out.
This is really excellent. I especially liked the angles that this dragon presented. More than just the SNOT work you did on it, you also created the real impression of a dragon that wasnt just flat displayed but was in fact ready to strike. The tail really exemplified this concept. Also, other features, such as the head and the display base, showcased your great eye for detail. Overall this was a real fun build to look at, not to mention the fact that it looks awesome. Well done.
well, I must say I'm flattered - I did not expect my MOC to be linked to as the "genius wing design", but thanks. Anyways, those wings aren't too bad for an elemental dragon of sorts, but what should proceed into further research are the spikes, which look pretty draconian. I hope you manage to make the perfect wings, so I can challenge you again...
Strangely enough i have done that wing thing with my Skyrim Dragon. Try putting in full rotating pieces that you can extend into open position. If i can i'll upload the LDD file of mine for a reference.
Whoa. Okay, I'm pretty sure this is the best LEGO dragon I've seen yet. The mountain is very well done too, but that dragon is perfect. The pose is very menacing and the wing position gives it the look that it is ready to pounce. Even the face shows your meticulous attention to detail. Awesome!
Hey man, this is a mean dragon. Your extendable wing issue - is the same reason why I have not built a dragon yet. I love the spines all over this beast and the landscaping is simple but effective. If there was one thing that sticks out to me here it is the eyes, they just seem a little too long and to forward for my liking, but hey, that's why we are all different. You have done an awesome job here :) ~Thoy
Looking good! I agree that wings should be able to fold on a dragon MOC, which makes them all the more difficult to appear full when they're extended. Maybe some cloth or other thin element that easily overlaps itself.
Great dragon, the colors are excellent and the scorched earth around the mountain is great too. Deus has challenged me to a dragon building MOC off too, and we were wondering if you would like to be a judge for us.
