Help support our newest LEGO stop-motion animated film -- Little Guys... In Space!
About this creation
We here at Paganomation are developing a new LEGO stop-motion film, entitled "Little Guys... In Space!"
It's a sequel to our 2007 film "Little Guys!", and is the first new independent Paganomation project since 2008. You can check out a presentation video about the film on our YouTube channel, as well as a few preliminary photos over on our Flickr page.
Animation is a lot of work, though; and so in order to produce the film, we are humbly asking for your help and support. We've put together a Kickstarter campaign in order to raise funds for the production, and we're offering some neat rewards for our backers -- DVDs, pins, figures, custom LEGO sculptures, and more. You can find detailed information on all of that over at our Kickstarter page.
Even if you decide not to become a backer, we would also definitely love your support in just helping to spread the word about "Little Guys... In Space!", either by linking to our page or by inviting others to this Facebook event. It's exciting to be putting together a new film, and I'm really looking forward to experimenting with all kinds of crazy new LEGO stop-motion tricks and techniques.
A big thank-you to all of you who are already backers, and thanks to everyone else in advance for your support!

I ll support you in whatever way I can, as I admire and like what you do, I just respect you enough to give you my honest opinion, good luck in your project!
Hey, thanks for giving your honest opinion! I decided to revisit the "Little Guys!" franchise for a number of reasons.
Our last original Paganomation film was "Playback" in 2008. While we've done a number of shorts, music videos, ads and other things since then, it's been a while since we've had full creative control of a project. Deciding to create a "Little Guys!" sequel seemed like a nice stepping stone between years of commissioned animation work and creating other completely original films. The world of "Little Guys!" is one that both myself and the audience are already familiar with, but has room to grow.
The film I was going to make before I made the original "Little Guys!" was, in retrospect, kind of a bore. I decided then that I would not choose to produce any original, independent projects that I wasn't excited about, or that I felt had some type of potential for experimentation and creativity.
To that end, I also like the idea of revisiting the "Little Guys!" universe every so often, to get a handle on what I and my collaborators are capable of creating as artists at a particular moment in time. Much like Nintendo shows off every new hardware and software expansion with a new Super Mario game, I like the idea of using "Little Guys!" as a way to simultaneously check and push the state of the art.
Hopefully that gives you a little insight into why we're making this film. Thanks for supporting us anyway!
I really like what you did before, and I like the 'little guys' title, however, basing your next movie on an 80 s advertisement again, is a bit disapointing to me, as I think the novelty and originality of it wore off, I was looking for something made out of the little guys techniques in space without the toy ad, am I wrong thinking this? I would have loved something more poseable than the little guys, I watched the intro, and I liked how you staged it, but, as soon as you introduce the toy, I feel I ve been there, it seems so much work to me, I d go where no one has gone before, including myself lol! I ll support you in whatever way I can, as I admire and like what you do, I just respect you enough to give you my honest opinion, good luck in your project!
