Around the world in 4 trains
An ongoing series of international trains.
About this creation
I was really hesitating between making the Santa Fe El Capitain, the bullet train, TGV Thalys, or the IC2. I decided to make all of them in a train trip around the world. Tjis page will be updated frequently with every new train, each from a different country.

First stop: France. This is the TGV Thalys, this creation having the new locomotive.

The interesting part to make was the nose: Not too blocky, yet it had to be the right shape. After 5 failed designs, I ended up with this one.

Next up is Japan. This is not the most recent bullet train. It is actually the series 100 Shinkansen from 1986.

The nose here is much simpler, with less SNOT.

This is a train from Finland. It is an IC2, a double-decker version of the IC, or Inter-city.

Some not-so well made Snot required some force to keep it together.

Next up is my all-too-much made Santa Fe. I updated it, lengthening it again, and remade the nose.

As you can see, I remade the nose. No more gap!

A new addition is also my new 9V motor, as seen here.

With the new rails, I made my own version of ballast.

Quoting Nick Barrett Fascinating, and all very good - I particularly like the Shinkansen. I'd love to see a new TGV using the orange from the 'Horizon Express'... in any case, any modern British train would be embarrassed in this company!
I've seen the new set; it's pretty awesome and realistic. It's also loosely based off of the original south-west TGV and the TGV 001 prototype, with the same nose and color scheme. As for British trains, it is very possible that I might make a steam train like the Mallard-I have a collection of old red 12v train wheels (along with a 12v motor) and want to make an old-fashioned, blue-tracked model of a British steam locomotive. Also another creation I'm making that might interest you is a medium-sized (1ft long) working model of a peugeot 103 moped. Why? Never seen one in lego before, and I want to see one made.

Quoting Admiral Hutton Nice trains. I expecially like the bullet train, with its brick built nose instead of the plane's nose. The santa fe loco just keeps getting better. The TGV looks very long though, can it go round corners?
It does go around corners, yet does take quite some space when it does. These trains are designed more for realism and less for layouts, in which shorter, but less detailed, trains would fit. The real TGV is actually proportionately longer, about 10 more studs long.
