URA SpaceCorps HYDRA Protocol forces: Part 2
As Talo announced that they have more new spaceships, the URA High Command decided to unveil two secret projects, devloped for years. The Alexyon class cruiser and the "Annihilator" heavy destroyer. These two ships will once again give URA the ability to controll space. The Alexyon crusier is so far the most powerful ship to have flied in space. It is nearly 800m. long. 6 ships have been built in complete secrecy in orbit the past months. The Alexyon has the hardest armor ever developed by URA, a special kind of alloy. The ship has various sensors making it able to detect any enemy. It is powered by 2 nuclear reactors and its engines give it enough speed to be quite maneouvarable despite its size. Perhaps the most notable thing about this ship is its armament. Hundreds of small computer controlled point defense turrets protect it from enemy fighters. The ship can also carry 25 non nuclear ICBMs for use against enemy ships, stations or ground targets. The main weapon is the heavy MAC gun, capable of one shot kills if aimed precisley. The last resort weapon of the ship will be unveiled soon. The Alexyon also has 4 hangars and can launch nearly 200 fighters at enemy ships. The "Annihilator" destroyer, while smaller than the Alexyon is also a very powerful spaceship, created with the sole purpouse of destroying the enemy fleet. It has lighter armor, but more weapons. The main weapon is a twin MAC gun. The ship also has several point defense turrets, carries 6 ICBMs/anti ship missiles, has two pulse laser turrets and 4 small mass drivers. Its big engine gives it a formidable speed, enought to outmanouvre enemy ships. The "Annihilator" has 2 small hangars, mainly used to carry boarding crafts or repair drones.
About this creation

The secret weapon of the cruiser.

The bridge, covered in layers of armor.

Alexyons redy for deployment and two under construction.

Launching heavy missiles.

The hangars.

A battlegroup.

Firing the MACs.

The main gun.

Back.

Sides, with the gray studs being missile silos.

The pulse lasers.

Point defense turrets.

Front missile turrets.

Main gun again.

Side, with twin mass drivers.

The panels taken off, showing how I built it.

4th wall: Really proud of these. I know the Alexyon looks a little futuristic (I copied the CCS battlecruiser from Halo), but I think it's OK, considering it IS possible with the allowed tech. The "Annihilator was a very fun build, and is my favorite spaceship I made. C&C welcome, and I hope I manage to defeat the Talian fleet :P

Those are very nice! they shall serve you well! With these plus my ships to take flak for them, i think we have the space front!

I would like to apologize for my recent rudeness, I was in a bad mood at the time and shouldn't have written anything at all.

Actually, my description states that the largest MAC cannon carried on any of my ships is half the size of the super MAC, and it is mounted on my battle dreadnought. And also, If any ship were to be given a MAC cannon, it would have to look way different than a CCS cruiser. MAC guns are HUGE and ships almost have to be completely built around them. Also, in terms of tech, I believe when David stated that Halo tech was allowed, he was referring to human tech, as covenant tech is way beyond that of this groups limits.

Thats exactly what i was saying, but coilguns do take up a lot of space. An average one takes up a whole warehouse in modern days, but one big enough to have an effect on a battleship would need to be very large.

Wouldn't those be more along the lines of gauss rifles though? Anyway, I don't think Paladin's creation should be an argument zone.

It's an alright looking ship,Still think Tyro's design's are better. But if I had to take side's I would side with Tyro.Good work though

I agree, we should move the convo, but a guass rifle is once agian, just another name for a coil gun. MACs, coil guns, and guass rifles are all the same thing. Railguns are similiar, but not the same.

No, it doesn't take much to destroy even the largest spaceship, we are talking just a few missile hits. Without shields, and with armor being insufficent, they can be dammaged rather quickly. And of course, in space, hull breaches are a big problem. Also, we allow vehicle mounted coilguns, so obviously coil guns don't need to be warehouse size anymore.

I'm not sure you guys realise MACs are just coilguns. Since coilguns can scale up and down, there is no reason a ship has to be so big. (Also, saying MAC cannon is kind of silly, since you are saying cannon twice.) And ships three times longer than a nimtiz is insane. Think of the cost! Even most sci-fi ships are smaller than that. My missile could be more accurately described as a ramship. Finally, I personally interpet halo tech to mean UNSC stuff, not the alien tech.

Ahem. Examples: UNSC destroyer-doesn't look like a flying cannon and is quite futuristic. Also, my cruiser's lower hull can fit a MAC.

Quoting Matthew McCall While both are well designed, this is supposed to be a near future group, and quite frankly a 1 kilometer ship is way too big. Do you know how much that would cost? Realistically, ships should be 500 meters are less, and even that's stretching it.
Well , you have missiles that are like 300 metres long, but well, I'll make it smaller. Besides, since Halo and Gears of War like tech is allowed, 1km ships are completely OK with this tech. Besides, how big do you think the other's spaceships are? One of Tyro's ships fits a super MAC, and taking the scale of his space station super MAC, it is around 1km.
