This is an entry to the Timinater's Collectable Minifig Contest (http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/20367). I had to post this quickly, so please excuse my lousy photo editing. Here, caveman Bob looks up at the dinosaur that just stepped in front of him. Immediately below, there is a fossilized scene of the same nature, as caveman Fred is being pounced upon by a hungry tiger.

Good work, nice idea and cool build. Theme: 4/5 It's kind of a tower, but could be better. Pictures: 3/5 I feel they're over-exposed and it takes away from the build. Did you brighten them in photoshop? I notice they're a little grainy, something that's often caused by editing. Build: 9/15 I think it's a good concept, but it ultimately fell short. I didn't know what the leg was until you described it, and I think if it was attached to a section of the dino's side then this would be vastly improved. Also, the photo quality makes it difficult to make out the details and techniques. Still, it's a pretty good MOC, and earned a total of 16/25. Nicely done, good luck with the other judges! |

I haven't made my entry yet for this round, and certainly don't need any more tough competition that there already is...but this is a fantastic build and idea. When I first looked at the pics, I thought that the dinosaur leg was the 'tower', and I thought that was an extremely creative interpretation of the tower. Timinater said it did not have to be a traditional tower, and I would say that the dino leg qualifies as a tower, and a really creative usage for it. So, I think the judges should take a second look at this and maybe re-consider, and not take away points for no tower. Just my 2 cents, and again I love this vig! |

wonderful vig! theme adherance 3/5 I can't see a tower here, but you might be counting the leg as one. for pics, 4/5- good, but the colours look a little odd... 13/15 for build, LOVED the dino leg and sabretooth tiger; so a total of 20/25. congrats! |

Hello Max this is a wonderful vignette with great detail and part usage however it is not much of a tower. For Theme your score is 2/5. This is only because you didn’t create a tower and I think you realized that yourself. You commented that “I decided to use the Series 1 Caveman. I started out with just the top level, but added the bottom to make it a tower.” Which just making taller doesn’t necessarily make it a tower. I think your Stairs of Cirith Ungol vig is a much better example of a tower structure. In Tim’s examples though they were not traditional towers the figs were actively involved in the structure and were on top of the tower, whether it was conquering a towering wave or using a tree top as a lookout tower. If your caveman might have been climbing up the dino leg I may have considered it more of a tower. For Pictures your score is 4/5. They seemed a bit out of focused and needed to be better lit to show all the details and parts you used to create your MOC. I also would have liked to see the Leg more. For Build your Score is 11/15. It would have scored higher if it had been more of a tower. Your skills are really, really good and this is a well detailed build with some exceptional techniques and part usage. I really feel that if you have Collectable Minifigs for other series you will do really well in later rounds as long as you stick to the theme better. I am excited to see your future builds wither in the contest our not. Your total score is 17/25 |

Nice! I like the concept and the dinosaur leg. The skeleton fig is the best part though: Hagrid looks nice dead and wrapped in a poncho. The outfit really suits him. :D |
