Quoting Parrington Levens At first I thought, did Jon forget that he builds big? Hahahha, then I saw where this was going. That weird landing bay is wicked...
I think I'll build a few little ships like this, it's good fun and a different challenge. But there will always be a bigger project going on too methinks ;)

this little mini-ship is very cool, but the main station deserves a stunning rate... When I see a sphere made by Lego, I'm always impressed. Eager to see the following WIP.

I saw this earlier and did not comment hoping that something clever would come to mind... but I'm still speechless! So, I'll just say "that sphere was a wonderful surprise!" :)

This is really an amazing work of micro-scale building. Whenever I build ships, they tend to look too blocky, and that's why I've almost given up sci-fi ships all together. That ship is the physical embodiment of awesome. I'm loving the curved pieces (I need to catch up on my brick vocabulary) that form the cargo bay (I assume that's the cargo bay). Anyways, amazing work!

Quoting Henrik Hoexbroe First I thought that this was just a very nice Micro-freighter. Then I saw your WIP docking-station... WOW! :-o
Quoting DeTomaso Pantera Woah! I thought that little ship was really cool, until I saw that docking station. Now I think it's ridiculously cool! Great work Jon!
Quoting Lego 4 Life The last pic is great!
Quoting Daniel Brilliant This gets a like for making me smile. GHL...awesome.
Quoting Stephan Schumann Nice design! It gives me an new idea for my frigate.
Cheers all! I really hope the sphere turns out ok, I've never tried greebling a curved surface like this before!

Quoting David Alexander Smith I'm so excited by this project. That micro spaceship, is one of the most convincing I've seen at that scale. It's not so much your greebling that makes your mocs work, but like Chris Roach whose work I also really like, you seem to be really able to use the brick angles combined with clear colour separation to delineate the individual modelled sections of a work. The large grey space station looks very good too, can't wait to see more of this.
Thanks David, glad you like :) It was your group that started my interest in microspace really, so on behalf of all the Bricklink store owners who are feeding this new addiction, thank you ;) I have an idea of what I want the sphere to look like, but still trying to figure out how to curve the greebling effectively rather than just use the studs as they are. Bank holiday on Monday, I foresee some all-night building sessions over the weekend...

Quoting Tim C You have really taken off, Jon. The micro ship is very cool. Love the shaping, especially the sides. I didn't recognize your work at first with all that light gray, but I like the change. And, the full WIP is looking awesome. That is some spectacular techniques your using to build your small moon. Oh, wait. That's no moon, IT'S A SPACE STATION! ;) Excellent work, Jon. Can't wait to see it finished.
Thanks Tim - I'm fairly pleased with this as a first attempt at this sort of build. I have to admit, it felt a little 'wrong' to be posting a MOC that only took about 30 mins to build after the time I usually take on builds. I actually spent longer 'shopping the first pic than on the build itself :)
