Terror of the Cyclops
And you thought I was tough on my spacemen. I wanted to use the mini-fig legs again, this time to build a figure. I was thinking very much of the classic stop- animation cyclops from Sinbad. In the long-term, the mobility of the mini-fig legs might provide a really interesting opportunity to investigate some small stop-animation films of my own

I've only just spotted this and I think that it's my favourite of all of your monsters. The tooth-filled mouth and wild, staring eye is a brilliant bit of sculpting in Lego. The cyclops looks very happy, maniacally munching mini-figs.

Quoting Tim C Another nice build, David. It's nice to know that all of your figs could be in dire peril at any moment, not just your spacemen. Your use of the minifig legs is great as always, and I love the somewhat humorous look of the cyclops, especially the eye. It reminds me of the wolf from the old Tom and Jerry, (I think), cartoons when he saw a cute girl. Nice work.
Thanks Tim. He was always mean't to look a little kitsch, as he's based on one of kitschest monsters in film history, the cyclops from sin bad. If you've forgotten him, or even never seen him before, this clip gives you a good idea of where my inspiration came from. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a77pycC78Q0&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Quoting Alex Jean LOL his mouth looks perfect for noming figs great build
Quoting The Timinater ! HAHA! LOVE his expression! :D
Although you can't see it clearly in the build, the jaw and neck are also built out of mini fig legs to get maximum facial movement (for the scale at least).

Quoting LukeClarenceVan The Revanchist Awesome! I'd like to see this as a stop-motion, it definitely has potential. Great work!
The mini fig legs allow a lot of stability and flexibility, it oukd work. Just have o invest in a tripod.

Quoting MortalSwordsman . Another creation full of character and style. Reminds me of Homer’s Odyssey. Is he partial to a drink or two? And watch out for that bow and arrow – you could have someone’s eye out with that. ;)
I was of course thinking of the Odessey when making this; and he doesn't have a beer belly for no reason.
