The Drilling Mole, seen in the sci-fi movie Total recall. The Vehicle is nothing more than a giant drilling machine. The machine is used for mining operations, like boring though rock and tunnels. The Mole itself doesn't have wheels, instead it uses some type of anti-gravity mechanism. The vehicle's drill is 7ft in diameter and also has functional arms with grinders that are capable of expanding and contracting in length. The cabin sits in the back of machine, only allowing the driver to operate. Monitor and 8 blinding lights guides this vehicle in dark tunnels After seeing the movie 1990, I have always wanted to create this vehicle. Now after 17 yrs, I finally decided to build it, and now..... here it is!!

How cool. It also looks like a vehicle from Wheeled Warriors (cartoon series). I'm going to do the same thing, except I'm going to try and build a V8 interceptor or KITT 2000 (80's), when I'll have some time off from school.

cool. but what i have always wondered was where does the soil or material go when you drill. because in the movies the same thing happens but i dont ever see a hopper to load the dirt unless it burries itself into the planet. please come see my creations!

Okay, now THIS shows the true you . . . my exasperation after seeing your front-in loader (from the other review) has been leveled. Now I am satisfied. Good job . . . I like the lighting; it makes it look stuffy (which is appropriate for a mining complex). And it's all gray . . . whoopee!!

Haha! This is awesome, I love it. Only one problem... your Brickshelf Link goes to your Indiana Jones tank, not the drilling unit... might want to change that. I found the right gallery, though. Very cool.
