This is (I think) the first MOC of a Y-tie. This heavy fighter is canon with all the positive aspects of both ships, but the negative aspects of being hand built. Hope you enjoy! the astromech name is R2-C2 or as my space pirate calls him skipper. If you notice, Skipper has a R2-D2 dome and since I want this droid to be a unique but I only have one R2 unit Dome and the rest are either the new R5s or the old R5s, thankfully I have a friend who is always ready to trade. (Oh the pains of hoarding.)

Thanks, see I thought about getting the real Y-wing and tie fighter and just mashing them, but I could not for these two reasons: I decided that it just didn't look right and the Y-wing was not out yet. So I had to make the who,e thing from scratch and trade hand built tie intercepter wings for the regular ones.

Top-notch Ugly. It's great that some sets have parts that can be interchanged, like the TIE fighters and Y-wing. But you've done more than that and taken this thing to a new level. Great work!

Thanks, I was actuelly worried that people would think that I just bought the new Y wing and the new Tie fighter and, well, melded them together. But I did not, I had to build a pair of (relatively good) tie intercepter wings to get ahold of the new tie wings from my friend. and then the whole front was built from scratch.
