MCD - Receiving reports that a single vehicle in flood waters with occupants.

MCD - Attention Companies 110(Excelsior) Rescue, 300(Veteran's) Engine, caller reports of flash flooding on The LEGO HWY, Northbound lane approx 1 1/2 miles North of Exit 45. Time now 19:44

Company 110 Rescue enroute.
MCD - Time Now 19:44

MCD to 110. Use Northbound of exit 45.

110 - Copy that.

MCD - Attention 300 engine. 300 engine third tone to respond to flash flooding with vechile and entrampment on LEGO HWY.

300 to MCD - We are enroute.
MCD - Time now 19:47

110 Rescue to MCD - We are approaching scene. Please advice Sheriff's Department and DOT to close Northbound lane and reroute traffic.

MCD to Madison County Sheriff - Charlie 3, 4 & 8. Ticlaw Fire Department advising that Northbound lane on LEGO HWY between exit 46 and 50 needs to be shut down for flooding.

MCD to DOT Station 4509 - Fire Department from City of Ticlaw requests assistance in Northbound lane closure from exit 46 to 50 on LEGO HWY. Sherrif's office also being dispatched.

300 engine to MCD - We are on scene.

110 to MCD - We are going to need a wrecker on site.
MCD - Copy

MCD to 110 command - Junker's Auto's ETA is 45 minutes.

MCD to 110 command. - DOT and Sheriff's Department are in process of Northbound lane closure. Can you route present traffic?

110 Command to MCD - We will need pd assistance.
MCD time now 20:08

110 Command to MCD - Wrecker on scene. Occupant has been safely extracted from the entrapped vehicle and has been cleared my paramedics.
MCD - Time now 20:34

110 Command to MCD - Vehicle has been removed from flood zone. Vehicle being taken into town. Occupant has been transported to local hotel for night. releasing 300 engine from scene. Be advice Sheriff's Department and DOT to maintain closure of Northbound lane. Water appears to be leveling off and there is not threat to Southbound lane at present.
MCD - Time now 20:58

300 to MCD - Returning to station.
MCD - Time now 21:06

110 Command to MCD - DOT crew on scene to monitor situation. We are returning to station.
MCD - Time now 21:11

300 engine back in station
MCD - Time now 21:16

110 Rescue back in station
MCD - Time now 21:27



A single occupant attempted to drive through a portion of the Northbound lane and became stranded. Crews from Excelsior Engine Company and Veteran's Hook and Ladder Company assisted in rescue efforts of the driver. Deputies from the Madison County Sheriff's Department and DOT crews have re-routed Northbound traffic through the city until further noticed.

The only ones that lost their stick were the paper ones on Veteran's Engine. Excelsior's Rescue did not peel, but I slide something against the one side and damaged the signage.....
