Specifically made for Dan the Mans 9th Car Contest (Italian).
About this creation
I am under no illusions, this is not going to be the winning car. Although made for the 9th of Dan the Man's contests, primarily the car had to fit all my objectives. These are, it must be four wide and it must be minifigure compatible. These conditions are rather restricting, so creations tend to have no more than a passing resemblance to the real world cars that inspire them. To be honest this model isn't exactly a four wide, it is at the front, but the rear, reflecting reality, is much wider, six studs to be exact. I've tried to capture the essence of the Ferrari 512 Testarossa, making sure it has the slatted sides and grills over the rear lights. I took a while building this although I doubt it'll rival any of the 10 wides in construction time.

Wow, that's cool, especially for the small scale. Your solution for the wider rear end is really clever! I also thought about using that round slope part for the front of my one an it really looks cool. Great job! :-)) ... By the way, everytime I see a convertible Testarossa my first thought is still: "OUTRUN!" :-))
I loved outrun, I used to play it so much I can still remember the music. That round slope part is a fantastic addition to the brick selection. |

it s surprisingly look pretty cool! but, I d got to the next level with this one, try 5' wide, you can check on my pieces for reference if you like, I have a few 5s, scale wise, it s almost perfect, 4 wide cars, 5 wide cars and pick ups, suvs, and 6 wide trucks, semis, buses, you ll find that this scaling system works perfectly with the lego road plates, have a look at my Cybercity scenes for reference, it will be clearer, or check on my last alta-5 post for sidewalks reference, I wish to save you time and efforts, city builders should support between each other right? good luck my friend! |

Cool! I agree it is not the best car, but it surely is a very sweet looking car! It looks very good for this scale. The air vents are great. 5/5 :-) |

I absolutely love this. Definitely has the characteristics of a Testarossa, especially the side vents and rear end. And the mini fig sticking out of the top is hilarious. Great job |
