The Warlock's Tower
Greetings my fellow brick addicts! This is a combination of mine and my sister Annie's skills, it will be part of a large display at BrickMagic, in Raleigh NC. Feel free to give any advice!
About this creation
First some pictures of the tower.

And some random pictures of the whole build.

I am very happy with this build! It's made of six different 32x32's, which are all separable for transportation. That transportable factor however is also what keeps this MOC from being better, as I couldn't do any fragile techniques that wouldn't survive a car trip across the state.

The far right 32x32 sections are completely Annie's creation, I think she mentioned that she's going post them separately, along with a motorized windmill that will be going on someone else's section of the dio.

So, come to BrickMagic and see it in person!

Hey, no worries. I didn't come back to check for your answer 'till now! Anyway, my latest WIP entry http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/354858 shows me putting everything in my trunk. Thankfully, I only live 5 miles or so from my work, so I arrived without incident. Thanks!

Quoting Wes Pitter Great stuff, and portable too! I have to transport my Storybook Display to school tomorrow. It was built in sections as well. Any tips for moving it?
Sorry I didn't see this sooner, but my main advice would be bubble wrap. Lot's of bubble wrap :-D

Your skills always stun me. It's just straight up amazing. My new series is kicked of to a great start, but I was wondering if you would like to sponsor it. I would say that is was sponsored by you at the end of each episode, with a link and picture leading to your home page. All you would have to do would be to put a picture of my series with a BRIEF description of it at the end of one or two new mocs! Tell me on one of my creations or email at Renagrade@gmail.com

Hey. Thanks for recognizing us old farts who have to juggle kids and jobs and back pain, (you did mention back pain, didn't you?), and are still able to act like kids with toys. But...To the build! This is excellent. Love the color configuration throughout the architecture. The architecture itself is perfect. Roots it very well in the era you were aiming for. The landscaping is second to none, especially the rock work in the front. The greenery is also well done. This reminds me of what Spirit Soaring would look like from the Drizzt series. I could see Cadderly standing out front. (Check it out if you haven't read it). Well done, both of you!

Quoting Bob the Almighty Sorry for messing up the perfect 100. This is AWESOME! Wish I could've seen it at Brickmagic. Just wondering, how do you do school and legos?
Well, being home schooled I'm sure it's a bit easier for me, but basically, you'll find time to do the things you love. You should ask how some AFOL's how they find time to work a full time job, have a family and build too. That is an impressive feat.

This deserves many likes... Here's mine! Favorite parts: the color scheme in the castle, and your wonderful flex tube tree technique. Wow! Ru, and Annie, this is great! I love the waterfall with the shower cap. That would make a good mushroom! The castle is epic! I especially like the use of sand red in the walls. This is just personal preference, but I think it would add a lot if you put a tree or two in, but it still looks great as it is. In that last shot, is that you and Annie?

That is pretty. The Rocks (both in the stone work on the tower and the cliff) are solidly done, and I like the embellishments on the tower. It still looks blocky though. For having it detachable and modular though, this is quite nice. The picnic with the Minotaur and the guy bathing are my favorite parts.

Great work Ru! You've really accumulated quite a collection! The only thing that kind of bugs me about this build is the tan entryway, it slightly looks out of place (although it does compliment the path). But other than that little critique it's a masterful build you got here! Keep 'em coming!

Pretty good, Ru, not your best work but seeing as you have to keep it sturdy and all for the trip across state I fully understand... At first glance it looks about the size of my WIP Hobbiton but then you said the baseplate size... Six 32x32s compared to six 48x48s... You'd think I could tell the difference. Anyways, the tower looks very nice as does that waterfall, but the overall appearance looks a bit bland... Maybe that's just me though... Yeah, probably just me. Maybe add a few more trees or something-that-takes-up-space. Great job, Ru, have fun at that convention-of-which-name-escapes-me-at-the-moment!

Ru, this is a really quality build. The tower with the off colored bricks and the wooden gable is really nicely done. I also like the twisted tree as well as the other landscape features. A lot of detail to take in at once. I am going to go back and admire it some more.

  May 9, 2012
Looking good Ru. A suggestion, work on some tree techniques that you find can be pulled off and replaced with ease, I think you'd find the empty space here would feel a bit fuller with just two to three taller trees :) Apart from that every element here is well done and I like your curved stream. Great to see a cool outdoor banquet table too. Keep brickin' man! ~Thoy
