The name is from a scifi movie, I'll give that much of a hint. That is why it's major geek points if you know the movie. For the color there are many variations in different art books. Black was just my largest parts collection and red cause it went well with the black.

I tip my hat to you. This beast of a mech doesn't need a weapon. He can can simply step on minifig mech and squish it with one foot! Sadly, I don't know the Buford part unless you mean Joe Don Baker as sheriff Buford Pusser from "Walking Tall."

That size is impressive. Anything that transforms and manages to look good in both modes is cool in my book.

I have seen this MOC up close and its 100% real - lots of detail and very accurate. Awesome build - much respect!
