I might have came out of my small builder's block with this new MOC. My entry to the BCBS May 2012 challenge. Making "useless" pieces useful. Enjoy!
About this creation
Zlato is a robot made for war(There are countless wars going on in my "storyline", every robot is made for war. Sorry.) against nearby threats. Zlato was planned to be built for this particular war, but when he was completed, the war had already ended. The scientists who created Zlato tried to shut his system down and store him for further use in future wars. Unfortunately for the scientists, Zlato broke out of the facility to lead his own "life" independently. Zlato is now wandering the cosmos looking for villains to stop.

I will stop you, criminal scum.

Front.

Back.

Legs. Kinda look a little "Sam H".

Arm. Left arm is a laser cannon, right arm is a sword.

Torso and head. The protruding torso is actually a big powerful laser that fires out from the "business end".

Wing thrusters. Enables Zlato to fly.

Action pose! Sword!

Action pose! Cannon!

Action pose! Zoom!

Action pose! Looking epic!

Action pose! About to fire the BIG gun!

Comparison to HF dude.

With Galaxus. Zlato's taller!

Most of the useless pieces used in Zlato.

And can anyone tell me WHAT THIS THING IS??? And what does it do???

Boom.

Okay, another moc complete! I should really post the next Self-MOCs... And not to worry Legofreak! Your pictures WILL be done by the following week! Thanks for viewing!

Dang, you got a nice moc here, and what I like about it is the huge amount of customness and uniqueness in the moc. I like the thing in the chest and the feet that look really good. There's also the jetpack on the wings (I LOVE the idea of you using the makuta's glowing ball as fire from a jetpack). Who am I kidding, ALL OF IT'S GOOD!!!! Just awesome man! :D

I like him Overlord. Especially the "Sam-H"-ish legs. The trouble with this competition is that the notion of "Useless" is entirely subjective. =P Things I think are useful might be the next MOCist's garbage. Anyhoo; GREAT work!!!

Hello, it's Das Greebler here. This is a reminder. You have to vote to stay in the contest. See "Voting" in the rules and vote before the 21st by email. Thanks!

It's funny how everyone tries to tell you what the parts are even though you obviously know by now... -.-

I can tell you what that thing is. its actually not a lego part, it was just made for holding rubber bands, making it the most useless peice ever, great job!

Hmm...My only issues with the MOC is the waist is too skinny and the left hand seems a bit off. Might want to bulk his body up a bit, and give him a real hand.

Geez, I've got some serious competition with this contest! Especially this. And on you giving peeks on Galaxus, I really couldn't see how you improved on him. Can't wait on how you did!

In my oppinion, none of those parts are useless. I've seen them used for many things, although this has to be the best! Also, useless is more of a personal oppinion than a fact. Remember kids, the only useless part is a broken part! (Actualy, some of my broken parts are more useful than the normal ones, LOL)

Yeah I know, I like rahkshii...and their spines.
  May 11, 2012
Wow, Draconic has zero memory. Lego winds string around cardboard, rubberbands around those parts. Epic moc, as usual, love all the greebling. Though I don't get what everybody has against rahkshi spines.

Weell, what a lovely creation. Regarding the contest, it was sort of hard to figure out the 'useless' pieces. Seeing them at the end helped a lot, but the amount of useless pieces compared to the rest of the structure seems rather small. I'm not sure is that a con for the contest, or you're just too good at hiding them :P Still, I wish ya luck.

Awesome! oh, and that one weird piece was actually used to hold string all wound up on it.

That piece is pretty famous. It is also called the "Nnenn" piece named after a famous builder who passed away to soon. Lego even made a tribute to him in a Alien Conquest set.

Yeah, we have that piece. It came packaged with an old Imperial Shuttle set from amazon. I found a use for it one one of my mocs. (Don't bother looking for that, I'm not proud of it.)
  May 11, 2012
Oh yeah, that piece your wondering about, I think that Lego uses it to hold rubber bands (like in the Bohrok sets). I don't think it does anything besides rubber bands. So...yeah.
