Entry to The Timminater's Colectible Minifigures Round 2: Viking Tree Fortress
This is my entry to The Timminater's Colectible Minifigures Round 2. The theme was a TREEHOUSE! The figure I choose was the SERIES 4 VIKING WARRIOR. I added a story at the end too. ENJOY!
About this creation

First, some various shots of the tree.

Viking woman. TECHNICALLY, she doesn't count as one of the 2 non-official figs, because she is from the new Series 7. No she is not the main figure I choose to use!
Stairs leading up to the watchtower/platform/thingy.

Ground foliage and skeletons.

More bones and debris.

Viking King.

Viking archer.

Viking Woman.

Viking Warrior, who is the main figure I chose!

Mini ballistas. (mounted crossbows)

Another one.

Yet another one.

And another one! Okay that's all of them!

Whoops! Sorry, I missed one!

Some more ground foliage and a skeleton. Poor chump!

Some battle debris.

Stairs.

Another lookout tower, with a ballista.

Bird's-eye view. That's all! Time for the story!
*RUMBLE RUMBLE*

"What's that?!!??"

*CRACK*! Out of the tree comes a writhing tentacle!

*SPLITTTT* Arrghhhhhhh!!!

*CRUNCH*! "Battle stations!" Cries the King.

A wriggling tentacle snaked up to the King.

"AHHHHHH!"

The tentacles then pulled the King straight off the deck!

Another one grabbed at the Archer! He swung his axe randomly, trying to get away.

*SLICE* Lucky swing!

But 2 others swarmed over him!

"Noooooo!" The tentacles then dropped him into a giant open maw!

*CRUNCH*

*BURP*

Meanwhile, the Viking Woman was having trouble of her own!

The Viking Warrior rushed to her aid!

But he was swarmed by a group of snaky tendrils!

And carried him off to... Can you guess?

Umm nummm numm!

There goes the Viking Woman too!

*GOBBLE GOBBLE*

The Viking King landed right next to the open mouth!

He grabbed a spear from the ground, and thrust it into the open maw!

Blood spurted from the wound.

He stabbed again, and more blood came!

As the tentacles began to retreat into the hole, the King grabbed a torch...

And lit the thing on fire! *FWOOSH!*

All that was left was a skeleton of the Archer. Poor chump!

Oh no! The tree is burning!

Figs.

Viking King.

That's all, thanks for viewing, good luck to all of my opponents!

Good work on this, nicely done. 4.5/5 for photos. For the most part they're well lit and clear, although a few of the shots could do with more light. Sunlight is generally a good solution when available. 5/5 for theme. I really can't see any faults here. 11/15 for build. I like this. The various platform heights and colour scheme really fit, and the place seems well outfitted while not too cluttered. I think the tree trunk could be made to looks more realistic, and the fort could be cleaned up a bit, but over-all it's pretty good. Total: 20.5/25 This is a well composed MOC without a great deal to improve, good luck with the other judges!

This is what I call a tree fort! Good Job. For Pictures your score is 3.5/5. There are some pictures were there are shadows interfering with the view. Ether try to eliminate the flash or or use angles that you are not creating shadows in the way. For them your score is 5/5. You really nailed the overall theme good job. For Build there is a lot of good details and the story was good but there is some room for improvement. I think if you would have continued the foliage up into the fort it would have made the tree look much fuller and you would have had better consistency through the build. Even though I enjoyed the story, I think you should have focused more on the main character and collectable figure for this round. For Build your score is 12/15 for a total score of 20.5/25. Good Job.

I don't think the fort has enough mini-ballistas...

Quoting The Timinater ! this is round 2, for SERIES 3 AND 4! luckily for oyu, you have the original Viking, from series 4, so this is alegal entry. JUST. you need to change what you said before- the viking woman is not the main minifigure here- it is the viking man.
K. Sorry about the confusion!
