Nola FR02
I have replaced the old photos with ones of my updated car. A fictional 2012 Formula One race car. This was a complete re-build. I built it completely from scratch, instead of simply upgrading my 2011 F1 car. I am also selling instructions for this; details are on the bottom of this page.
About this creation
For 2012, I decided to change the color scheme a bit; due to the fact that the red, dark bluish grey, white, and green exterior colors didn't seem to go together well. So I have gotten rid of green as a exterior color. I think it looks better than my old F1 car, and I hope you do too.

Like my previous Nola FR01, the "FR" stands for "Formula One Racing".

I'm not 100% pleased with the exterior design, since it's not pretty like most F1 cars. This is because the 2012 rules states that cars' noses must be lower than previous years' cars. This caused all teams (save for McLaren, if I am not mistaken. McLaren's cars don't have the ugly nose because the team always had lower noses than their competitors, so the change in height wasn't as drastic) to have ugly bumps on the noses of their cars. Some 2012 F1 cars are downright hideous, the Ferrari F2012 being one of them.

Thank you for all the comments, guys. I am in the process of editing and uploading pictures that I just took of a slightly modified version of this car. I am replacing the current ones with those. It should be done in a day or two. -LB Jr.

For a '12 car the rear wing should probably be a little taller and thinner. And I'm not too sure about the helmet, either. I'll stop criticising, as you've probably already been told this, and they are only small niggles. Overall, a really nice F1 car, very smooth, very sleek, and quite good looking, too. Nice job.

Cool. The overall shape is only a little warped, but on this kind of scale, where are the details? :-) the front nose step is there because the area under the nose has to be as high as possible for maximum aerodynamic efficiency, so if you already made a bump, then sloping down the nose at the front kills the advantage. And the rear bodywork just before the wing is too wide and flat- it makes it seem like a pre-2009 car! The area in front of each sidepod needs a vane and an air deflector; it looks rather empty now, along with the front wings. On a car as big as this, not to mention after branding itself as a 2012 f1 car, one would expect more accuracy. Altogether, by itself, it is aesthetically a very cool looking car but as a 2012 f1 car... I'm not so sure. P.s. I love your road cars, they are absolutely much awesomer.

That are some nice F1 cars you have made. I can't help it but I like the FR-11 more but they are both very good.

This one took three nights to build (about 9-10 hours), and the LDD took another 3-4 hours.

Quoting DeTomaso Pantera Haha yeah fame is not all it's cracked up to be, I just want to build really all this attention is very nice though. I'm probably going to sound like a broken record for the next few months with this Cuusoo project. I'm going to make this happen though I'm determined. Hopefully this publicity won't stop as I am going to build many more projects like this (not just birds), I've had so many requests lol. I've even had a BBC wildlife photographer commission me to build him a Kingfisher :-)
Yeah, fame isn't that important; it's just nice. Will that be your second commissioned project? I've been wanting to build a commissioned project for extra bucks - do they sell for much?

Quoting DeTomaso Pantera WOW LB this is great a massive improvement on FR-11! Really neat build and it looks fast! The photos look a little gloomy though so I can't see all the details as clearly as I would have liked. Here is a YT video of me from yeterday :-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=G4NaZtU0dhs Hope you like!
Thank you! Haha, I see your photography standards are much higher than mine and Senator Chinchilla's. Yes, I was not pleased with the way the photos turned out; they don't capture the details well. And I just watched the video, and it's going in my bookmarks! You've been busy recently, huh - busy being famous! Hahaha Great to see you!

Thank you for your support, everyone! This was a very fun car to build for me. It only took three nights to complete it in real bricks, but the LDD took much longer, because I'm not very familiar with it. I built this as a sort of "side model" to distract me from my other, more challenging projects (I started building one a long time ago - December last year to be more exact!).
Quoting Nick Barrett Very fine model. The brick built driver's head is a nice touch too. Hope you find lots of takers on eBay!...Just a heads-up: you've got the text for 'mom lettering' on your F1 listing.
Thank you for the compliment and the for notifying me about the mistake. It's fixed now.
Quoting Dave Benson Really cool... The new nose design is interesting.
Yes, it is odd.
Quoting Nicholas O. Great job!

Quoting MortalSwordsman . Excellent. Love the side pods (air intakes) and the rear wing. The driver is great too. Nice work buddy :D
I'm glad you like it! Yes, the side pods are probably my favorite part.
Quoting Fritz K Amazing! Yet another stunning car...Yours should compete against MortalSwordsman .'S.
Yeah, that would be nice, but my is considerably larger in scale than his - I have an advantage! Haha
Quoting Senator Chinchilla . Iron your front wing! =P Lol, I like the clean F1 shaping and that schematic of the wheelbase. All the photos were pretty nice, now that I think about it. Super spiffy!
Yeah, I should iron it! Haha I've been trying to improve my photography skills. By the way, have you gotten 'round to iron your sheets?
