As fans of "Big Cat Diary" and "Prehistoric Park," my children love to act out safari adventures in LEGO. The iconic Land Rover Defender is their vehicle of choice. The LEGO model features a stick shift, dashboard display panel, driver and passenger seats, sunroof, cargo storage crate, and removable top. I built the model in LEGO Digital Designer. If you like the model, you can vote for it to become a LEGO product at LEGO CUUSOO: http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/17172
I want to offer a few initial comments about the design of the model. The tires are a little large, but they are the best that I can do for now. The model is made to accommodate the new half-sized mudguard, which is not yet available in LDD. Once the tires are framed by the new mudguards, they will look less imposing and more to scale. Until I can build a tactile model, you'll have to use your imagination. Also, I had to move the tail lights to the top of the model opposite the rear windows. Thanks in advance for viewing the model.
