Nectar of the Gods
Round 2 "Out of you Comfort Zone" Contest - Category: Sculpture
About this creation
This is my Entry for Round Two in the "Out of Your Comfort Zone" Contest. My opponents is The Timinater!

Sculpture is such a vague category because anything built out with LEGO® is technically a sculpture. LEGO® being the medium rather then stone, wood, etc...

I was inspired by my other hobby being a amateur home brewer. Sit back pour yourself a cold one and enjoy!

Holy cow. How did I miss the beer!!?? This is very well done. Nice use of the sloped pieces for the foam, and the tap is perfect. Well done.

Score = 4. Like the foam and the overall look of it. It's near perfect. I'm still looking for a super wow factor to give out a five. This is a solid build overall, well done.

Quoting Lego Builders Very cool! I'll have to try my hand a sculptures eventually. :) I suppose you edited the pictures so that the build would be hovering in mid-air? -LB Senior
It is actually freestanding. It sagged a bit so I reinforced just for the pictures. If I was going to leave it built I would permanently reinforce it not unlike Sean Kenny's larger scale sculptures.

Quoting DeTomaso Pantera Hey Brody glad you're enjoying. That's what it's all about! I have been very busy with the press for the last week or two, it's all a bit much, was in my local paper today and have the local news coming to film me on Monday.I've also been on countless news websites and Blogs, I have lost track of where these birds have flown to lol. So I would say it's going very well...so far. I have 417 supporters in just 4 days which I am very chuffed with. if you haven't supported already please do and spread the word. I'd really appreciate your efforts. http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/16897 Hopefully I can get some more building time soon I have an awful lot of requests for bird builds haha Looking forward to seeing what you build next, I'm really enjoying these builds of yours, best of luck! I could do with a pint now as it is Friday after all :-) Cheers!
Honestly, with what little interaction I have with you I can genuinely say that your success is well deserved and it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Enjoy it well it is around! I have supported you but will make sure I spread the word. What I really like about your birds is that they are easily recognizable without being overly complicated. It is something that an Average Joe could buy and build. Some of the stuff on cuusoo is amazing but does not have the wide appeal due to size, cost and complexity. It would be nice to share a pint with you. PS if you are taking request I am throwing in one for a gambles or mountain quail!

Quoting Scott Allen Well done. Good head there. Lol both the stream and the pint.(wink, nudge.) Nice job on the tap too. So your a home brewer? Is this one of yours that makes us suddenly thirsty after seeing your moc? If so what's the name? Great build. Good luck to you. Hope none of the judges are in AA. LOL. ~cheers
I was only a matter of time before someone made a head comment! I don’t think any of the Judges are old enough to partake in a tasty adult beverage!
